Last time they had LG C1 deal, it was dead with in hours. I am surprised, this one is still up. May be Sony is clearing out 2021 model. Hopefully we all get brand new A80J!

I refused delivery and am going to cancel - buydig won't give me a straight answer on CPS warranty - going to get this refunded and spend slightly more for the c1 - fairly annoyed with how buydig handled this

Since this model number include the "CJ" - that probably means these are Costco returns from last fall when they had the $1799 deal for this model TV. Costco has a generous return policy so it is feasible some were returned for reasons not related to faulty performance (like return/rebuy if would not price match, decided to buy from another store as many retailers offer the $1799 price last October, or opted to return the 65" and get the 77" instead as the 77 went on sale at Costco around Black Friday).
There was a similar slick deal a few weeks ago from Secondipity that also had the "CJ" model, so perhaps Costco had an influx of returns to liquidate - they do not typically re-sell returns as open box in store

With that being said, this "refurb" status might have a better chance of being almost like new condition as opposed to other refurb sales on sites like Woot that are more "scratch and dent" of a previous year's model - and thus more of a shot in the dark on what condition you might get if you pull the trigger.

This is better than the LG A1 65" that is the same price at Costco right now. Yes, you go not get the Costco extended warranty you would get if you have the Costco Visa. But that warranty does not cover burn in and still requires you to go through a 3rd party to make a claim (can't just bring it back to Costco if in year 2 something malfunctions).

Anyone know if this is eligible to receive the 10 free movie credits through Sony Bravia Core service - https://electronics.sony.com/bravia-core ?
Just saw this, relieved I refused delivery now, Costco returns can have mileage on them

That's silly talk…Costco no different than Best Buy no different than Amazon when it comes to returns. It depends on who had it and why they returned it! Buyers at one store no different than another.

I know it's not this Sony, but the LG OLED65A1PUA is at $1400 new right now. Newegg also offering $75 gift card on it with the 4-year warranty. Alternately, if you get it from B&H they'll pay the tax if you use their Payboo card.

No what you're saying is factually incorrect, sorry, Costco has a very generous return policy which most consumers are well aware of, their returns are often test driven quite a bit before returning, simple searching on this forum could inform you of that much

Thanks - others may find it helpful.

I canceled my order. Unclear terms for cps warranty is worrisome. And the point that others called out where if cps cannot fix the tv they will just refund the warranty cost is also borderline stupid.

Thanks. I ended up buying the Sony new from Best Buy. I did not want to mess with Buydig. I set it up last night and it is awesome. Just in time for the Olympics!

How is Upsie warranty? Not sure if they cover refurb TVs. Thinking to get additional warranty from Upsie for peace of mind if they are good! They cover burn ins too!

Edit:
Found the answer - TVs has to be new!

From their FAQ's -
Can I get coverage for my refurbished or used item?
Yes, you can purchase a warranty on most used/refurbished electronic devices as long as they come with at least a 30-day seller or manufacturer warranty and were purchased within the last 60 days (120 days for smartphones). We are currently only able to protect new televisions, fitness equipment, major appliances, and outdoor & tools electronics.

Here are the Terms and Conditions of the warranty as forwarded by CPS from Insurance Provider. Attached.

My overview, I am not expert.

This plan applies exclusively to products located in single-family dwelling, individual condominium units, town houses, and modular homes in the United States and Canada.

DEPENDING ON THE COVERAGE YOU SELECT AND THE ITEMS YOU CHOOSE TO INCLUDE IN THIS PLAN, DIFFERENT TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND EXCLUSIONS MAY APPLY TO SPECIFIC PRODUCTS. PLEASE READ THIS PLAN CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY.

General Conditions:
C.ADMINISTRATOR reserves the right to repair or replace the covered product with a comparable feature model of like kind and quality. ADMINISTRATOR reserves the sole right to determine, according to the terms and conditions of the Plan, whether a covered item will be repaired or replaced.
D. ADMINISTRATOR is not responsible for matching any feature of an existing item that does not contribute to the primaryfunction of that item.
G. ADMINISTRATOR, at its sole discretion, shall offer a replacement option of like kind and function or a monetary settlement equal to the current market value (Hereinafter "CMV") of the covered product as determined by the ADMINISTRATOR.
Cancellation:

ADMINISTRATOR may cancel this Plan for reasons, including but not limited to, misuse of the product, unauthorized modifications to the product, non-residential or commercial use of the product.

Service Call Fees:
OWNER shall be required to pay a Service Call Fee for each service request submitted. If your covered product requires additional service related to the previous repair and within 30 days, OWNER shall not be responsible for an additional Service Call Fee. No service shall be authorized by ADMINISTRATOR prior to Service Call Fee collection. If your estimate for reimbursement has been approved but the Service Call Fee has not yet been collected, the Service Call Fee will be deducted from the approved reimbursement amount. Service Call Fees vary according to category and product. Please refer to your Plan details for more information.

I am not a lawyer, but that wording seems to the insurance provider, and then CPS, the right to apply other terms and cancel at any time for undefined reasons.
