The trouble I have with these deals from Amazon is you get them, and find they expire shortly. I no longer trust Amazon on stuff like this - it feels like they are just clearing out expiring stock. If you can go through these in a month, maybe chance it, otherwise I'd recommend avoiding them.

yeah I'm not a fan of any brand of peanut butter and especially Jif which is 20% hydrogenated rapeseed and soybean oil to stabilize the other 80% of real peanuts that are in it and to keep the peanut oil from separating from the rest of the mass and pooling on top of the jar as a clear viscous liquid. I eat at least a half pound of planters dry roasted peanuts every day and I can get them for just about the same price per pound when the deals come up so there's no advantage to peanut butter for me but I understand people have kids that they send the school and this is really convenient but otherwise just know that 20% of what's in this jar is solid rapeseed oil and solid soybean oil that's hydrogenated and a solid at room temperature which is absolutely disgusting.

*and by the way, thumbing this post down isn't going to change the reality of what I said. I know that the people giving thumbs down would rather buy this cheap garbage than face the truth about it because they can't resist the deal, but again giving thumbs down isn't going to justify your purchase and make you feel better about it. you will remember this post when you're eating this - I guarantee it. enjoy.
