Too late, I tried that. Anyway it's really not that big a difference. I get 20% off + a $25 GC for trading in my old Paperwhite, so its actually only a couple of dollars difference. Yes, I probably could have gotten a bit more selling my old Paperwhite on Ebay, it's in mint condition, but at least it saves me the trouble of dealing with all that. As far as the other post saying We'd be better off waiting for the price to come down....my old Paperwhite is like 8 years old, and I wanted the improvements for my own comfort and enjoyment. Just because I am on a deals sight, doesn't mean I prioritize monetary over comfort. You only live once, and I am worth it.

I do have some collection of foreign language pdfs which are not available in e-reader format anywhere. I tried to convert them to epub format but all the letters in it are corrupted. Is there any solution to make pdf to epub format or any other format which is readable on kindle? Reading pdfs on kindle is not convenient.

Have they always been this size? No personal experience with them, and I assume they're better in every way now, but an early model I bought my mom idk how many years ago, I thought was bigger. This isn't much more so than a phone.

FYI, color e-ink is already around and has been for the past few years if you know where to look. It's just expensive and hasn't gotten the "Apple Adoption" treatment I like to call it (and by Apple, I really mean Amazon since they're the leading e-book brand) where a major player in a tech space doesn't use certain technologies until they're mature. By then, it'll be cheaper and have less flaws than it currently does, then maybe Amazon will release a color e-ink Kindle that people will call the best thing since sliced bread.

If it has been around for few years and reliable then Amazon should have released a colored version, even at premium price point

Of course it was. But the picture some are painting that Bezos himself had ordered an historic bridge demolished is untrue for several reasons ... he may or may not even be aware of the bridge situation, and the bridge isn't being demolished at all.

The newest one is a bit bigger, so you can not use your old one's case for the new one.
