I assume since they're professional builders, the 600W PS is ok (rather than a 650W)? TIA!

I was thinking the same thing. 3070 RTX is about 200w draw as I understand leaving 400w for the rest of the system

For what this is worth:

https://www.whatpsu.com/psu/cpu/I...e-RTX-3070

Says 600w

$18 extra for CoolerMaster MWE GOLD 750W - V2 80 PLUS GOLD Ultra Quiet Full Modular Power Supply which should be worth it.

The Coolermaster Hyper 212 cpu cooler for extra $2 also seems like a great option for ppl who don't want to mess with liquid cooling

Newer Intel chips run hot, especially K series overclocked. You'll need a a dual tower 140mm cooler if you don't want it heat throttling.

All liquid coolers will eventually leak or have pump failure. No bueno. YouTubers and teenagers love the pretty colors but air coolers can't leak and destroy your GPU.

A D15 can keep up just fine. It is bested by some of the bigger liquid coolers in sustained workloads, but I'd suspect less than 1% actually USE their computer that way outside of benchmarking or purposeful CPU torture tests. 99%+ of real workloads are just fine on air.

Plus, almost nobody that goes liquid cooling thinks about their VRMs that get cooled by an air cooler pushing air around the CPU socket…

I'm not seeing a D15 as an option to add to the configuration? I would prefer not to have a liquid cooler and deal with the coolant.

When I select one of the air cooler options I get the pop up "CyberPowerPC recommends you select 240mm CPU cooling or above for optimal performance."

good point. i personally think it's bs that intel claims performance victory despite the need to draw extra power/heat.

The i5 is fine. It's only the i9 that has huge cooling issues, and even then it's only at extreme use.

Unfortunately so many people have been allured with the pretty lights of AIO that OEM's are putting them in everything. I'd probably be fine with AIO in a complete system inside of a warranty period (check to see they actually cover leak damage). When that warranty is up though, you'll want to swap it out for a D15...word is they're working on something new, too...

My experience with CyberPower support is.... non existent.

I went from a Dell 7th Gen i7 to a CyberPower Ryzen 7 3800X. I had issues with my multi monitor displays flckering and/or frequently "losing signal" -- an issue I didn't have with my Dell. I reached out to them and didn't hear back from them for multiple months despite multiple follow ups. For what it's worth, I've also heard CyberPower uses some pretty low end PSUs (both in terms of brand and also just enough power to get you by).

But everyone knows that for every 6 RGB lights you have, you decrease the AIO's chance of leaking by 33.3% so if you have 18 RGB lights or more then it will never leak.

That's false m8, you can choose your own Brand power supply and there's almost 20 options. They'll also warn you what your lowest amount wattage necessary is depending on your build.

Don't forget it also cools 33.3% faster if the fans are directly RGB lit too. *Per fan
