frankly, unless you are running an exotic or luxury car, either will do so long as you change your oil regularly. it's a matter of convenience more than brand at this price.
Project Farm is not sponsored. His tests are designed well and help the consumer objectively cut through marketing ploys.

Jack is the way to go. I used to use ramps when I was a teenager and always worried about driving over them. Very stressful to use, but maybe that's just me
Same. I moved on from ramps years ago - they didn't make things much easier and always made me nervous.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. I have switched between Castrol GTX, Pennzoil Plat/Ultra Plat, Mobil 1, and Kirkland Signature. They are all API certified full synthetic motor oils so that's all I care about.
I go with whatever has the best deal at the time that I am going to do my oil change. I don't drive much (3k-5k miles) so I do only 1 oil change a year. I just make sure the motor oil is a good quality synthetic and have a good extended performance oil filter.
This, unless you are well above average with your annual driving mileage or are exceptionally hard on your vehicle in either level of aggressive driving or very tough conditions, I.e. desserts or the frozen tundra.
