You didn't ask me but I'll happily answer.

The worst mobile phone carrier I have ever used. I would never consider them again. If everything goes well (which it does in most cases) you will be just fine. If anything, and I mean anything, doesn't go according to plan, you are totally hosed. Horrid customer service.

I played the game and got burned. The $200 savings was not worth the complete and total headache they caused. I really, really regret not listening to those that warned me about Fi.

Boost data is in the lowest priority of the 3.

QCI 9 is assigned to the base Cricket Unlimited plan, ATT's base Unlimited prepaid and Unlimited Starter postpaid plans, as well as all plans once their data bucket is exhausted. Boost Mobile's new plans are QCI 9 as well.

256gb Galaxy S22 $499
256gb Galaxy S22+$699 + 150$ Boost Mobile E-Gift card

Can someone explain why one would pay $200 more for the same phone, to only get a $150 gift card?

What am I missing?
It's not the same phone

So can I buy this phone, unlock it through eBay, and then somehow flash the boost mobile bloatware?
We can't uninstall the bloatware? Why are bloatware a thing? Ugh. I don't trust that I can learn how to flash a phone. I don't want to brick my phone or do anything wrong.

Great deal! I usually don't go for Samsung but this is enticing me to switch from 8 pro. Wish it had trade in

why do you should Boost over Google fi ?

I though Google fi come unlock should be better than Boost or because you have to pay and keep Google fi for 120 days ?

I'm about to order from Google fi and just curious about your reason.

1. Unless you're keeping fi for longer than 4 months, you won't be able to use your $200 credit because they don't give it to you until you satisfy 4 months of service first. While for Boost, you'll get the $200 once the phone ships.

2. It's cheaper monthly to be on Boost vs Fi, so Boost will save me money while I'm on it. Depending on how I like Boost, I would stay a year to have it unlock and switch or unlock and stay. And after I finish using their $200 gift card to pay the bills(estimating their $25 plan will fit my usage, it'll take 8 months to use up their gift card) I can go to eBay to have it unlock if I don't want to spend 4 more months on it. Worse case, say after a month and I don't like their service, I won't finish using their $200 gift card and move back to my trusted Mint Mobile.
While on Fi, you're stuck paying for 4 months if you don't like their service or else they charge you for the full price of the phone if you don't.

The official way is having active service for 12 months, then they'll unlock it. The unofficial way without getting the service is going through a third party like eBay, where companies offer unlocking services where they basically have you connect your phone to your pc, they then connect to your pc with teamviewer, and run some program to unlock the phone.

Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-...632-2357-0

The S22 was $400 at Fi, here's its $500. Plus, if you want it unlocked, it's a year of paid service, or sketchy eBay unlocks for Boost. The Fi phone comes unlocked right away, and you only have to pay for 3 months of service w/ referral code to not get discount refunded.

Even if you're talking about service, as long as you have good T-Mo coverage in your area, Fi would be better. Boost has a better coverage network in the States, but those data speeds and deprioritization need to be experienced first hand before making a recommendation.

People apparently just have really bad experience with Fi customer service. I don't understand why anyone needs to ever contact customer service though outside of issues porting-in (which I'm surprised is an issue ever).

Yes though, I'm probably going with Fi. $400 + $60 for 4 months service of $20 plan. I don't see how calling or texts would possibly be an issue on the Fi network which is just T mobile with US Cellular attached.

Boost being $110 more ($10 taxes) minus plan cost difference, but the year service for unlock? Perhaps I could buy stolen unlock codes off eBay, but maybe not definitely not doing no computer sharing crap.

The ecard disclaimer says can only be used for monthly service. I'm assuming it can be used to purchase the discounted annual plans, and any balance would stay with the account indefinitely?
