Since my order was split, I went to a corporate store to return. I was told (again) that they couldn't find the order in their system, so I have to call to return. I think either their system doesn't allow it or they don't know how. I am wondering how others were able to return to store. Any other solution other than calling customer service?
Go to att.com and check order status for your order. Show that page to local att store employees that it is indeed in system and they can and should process the return for you in-store.
You can also present the att return policy webpage and educate the att employees that they should allow doing local return for online orders.
Those employees are internally trained to avoid doing any return for customers. The "not finding order in system" is just a lie/an excuse.
Just put in two orders for accessories and they both show pending with "AT&T COR DF" as the vendor. Got the push notification regarding the $75 statement if my purchase meets the terms.
My offer has the "Offer valid one time on new line of wireless service" line. I will try and do a return if things don't pan out but I'll update you guys in a few days.

Thanks for the info. I went to the store again and asked the manager. He told me that online orders don't have a "receipt number", so they couldn't find it in the system. He said the call center customer representatives lied about returning to stores. Anyway, I'll just call to return.
My two online purchases for accessories, each above $37.5 were recognized by Bank of America - the offer showed "Processing" for almost a week (I placed both the orders on Feb 16) - and it disappeared for a couple days as well. But I see the offer back today in the "Available" section. I now wonder if this is because the purchases were for accessories and the offer has the "new wireless line" wording that's being enforced. Will have to return the items and not looking for a bad experience as I am not an AT&T customer.
Don't go crazy if you didn't get a notification from Chase indicating that you used the offer. The card that had the AT&T offer also had the 5% Starbucks offer. I used it and didn't get any notifications. Another Chase card had the Starbucks offer, so I used that one too, and received an instant push notification from the Chase app and got an email. In the past both cards received the Starbucks cash backs without any issues. For some reason, card #1 is not tied to Chase offer notifications.

Some people have offer which states "AT&T products and services…"
I, for one, have offer which states "valid on a new line of services for AT&T wireless services.."
That's why I have asked people to post their offer details.
