mClassic is okay, but you can do much better. The OSSC (requires more work) and the Retrotink5X (easy to use but not cheap) are better options for your money imo.

Here is a good video from Digital Foundry showcasing this product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-NhX9-_KE0 , and it is favorable overall, but it's now an older device.

Before buying this I would suggest doing a little research on youtube and check out https://www.retrorgb.com/ for good information on what is happening in the retro games scene and how to make your older consoles look better on modern TVs.

This is actually a solid product for anyone who plays on a docked switch. I kickstarted it a couple years ago and it definitely makes the Switch more enjoyable to look at in docked mode on larger television.

I'm going to say no. My brother bought it a few years ago and I think you really have to be nuts to buy something like this.

The switch is underpowered, there's no fixing it. It makes things look a bit clearer, but I think you'r ebetter off saving the $80 and putting it towards the switch 2 whenever that comes out

that being said, if you have money to throw, sure why not. it does make a little difference.

It does the job in some scenarios. I thought the upscale from a 720p source was worth it

Is this really worth it for switch or any other console?

Switch with the dock does 1080p. This is for anything below 720p and you would want to upscale.

Be aware that the advertising and reviews for this thing way over emphasize how much this thing upgrades your video.

It does look very slightly better but you really have to be looking for it to notice it. I don't think I would buy this again if it were 40 dollars

Wouldn't it just look the same without this $80 device?

This product does literally nothing your TV doesn't already do.

Unless you have a really bad TV, most have some form of upscaling without the need for dumb device like this - save your money and put it towards a better TV.
It also adds some AA. No your TV does not do that.
I use it in my arcade cabinet for a pi 4 which would take too much of a hit in performance trying to do the same thing.

I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. I take it you don't own this product, or have experience with it because if you did, you would know it actually adds a smoothing filter and edge enhancement to the image.

I have this for almost 2 years and it is AWESOME. It upscales my switch and actually even does some anti aliasing as well as improves the colors. I use this on my CX for my switch and and it looks so much better. Give it a shot if you have anything you want to upscale.

if someone is planning to get this for the switch, don't. they'll eventually announce the switch 2 with higher resolution, so there's no real point unless you're planning to use this with a retro console.
