Really ? poor quality ? Your standards must be really, really high. I have one and my experience is much different. We had a roof leak during the storms a few weeks back. I had two lights, this on my head and a milwaukee on the roof. This light did well, outside, in the middle of a storm to patch a leaky skylight. No water intrusion, plenty bright, adjusted how I needed it and light enough for it to not remind me that it's on my head. The build quality of it is robust, o ring seals on the battery door. I also had thick nitrile gloves on and the switch felt positive through gloves. This impressed me enough to regret buying only one back then, so buying a second one this time around as a backup. I'm sorry your experience with it apparently disappointed, but for me the opposite, getting a 2nd one now.

Reviews indicate the included rechargeable is low capacity, and the headband isn't good for people with bigger than average heads.

18650 battery, I use those for all my lights. Get a good brand/rep one though.

Last time this was on deal I purchased one and it was defective. Trying to enter the high power mode started strobing and I had to remove the battery to get it to stop.

Amazon wouldn't send a replacement I just returned. Hoping this one will actually work

The top review on amazon says there is already a 18650 rechargeable battery inside in addition to two provided CR123 in the box. This is really really great since the 18650 can be replaced when it's wearing out.

I picked one of these up last time. I already had a few Black Friday Menards head lamps that were pretty bright and worked pretty good. This light is next level and kicks it up several notches and is rechargeable to boot. Don't hesitate if you are on the fence.

My hesitation is that it looks like you must HOLD a button to get the 1000 lumens. So, on your head this is really a 400 lumen light. Decent price for one..

Seems like a decent flashlight at a very good price. It doesn't specify the LED model or the color temperature, but it looks like a cool blue. I'm not a fan of cooler beams. Cooler lights are popular with casual consumers as it maximizes brightness. Once you use a neutral or slightly warm light that shows colors with better accuracy and is more comfortable on the eyes it's hard to go back.
