Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

If i port number out of metro after 2 months will that raise more red flags to jeopardize auto unlock of after 6 months?

in other words, is not paying monthly plan after 2 months same as porting number after 2 months?

No, it doesn't matter. It will still unlock automatically. Been doing it for years.

At my local Metro corp store, if I add 1-2 new lines (above the 2 port-in #s for the 2 iP11), the FREE phone options include:
Samsung A13, A12, OnePlus Nord N200, TCL 20. In this scenario, the OnePlus N10 will cost $50.

If I port in line #3/4, my free phone options include Samsung A32, OnePlus N10, Motorola moto g stylus 5G.

Do I have to turn on the phone for it to be unlocked after 6 months or I can leave it sealed in the box and it'll still be unlocked

Eventually you do, but if you leave it off for five months and 29 days your good lol. You say sealed in box. I would at least turn on once.

I wouldn't count on getting any "sealed in the box" free phones from Metro.

There have been scattered reports here and there of people managing such a feat, but... by and large, the reps will open the boxes, insert the SIM cards, and activate the phones right in the store.

I have a bunch of Ting SIM cards with $30 credit. If I activate those but less than 30 days service, will I qualify for the port in? What happens if the number was previously on T-Mo, I activated it on Ting (Verizon)... will that error out? Anyway to check before going to the store?

That's what happened with me.
The rep opened up both boxes and set up the iPhones

The rep for me only activated one of the 4 phones I told him that I can do the rest. He told rebuttal but let me keep the other 3 sealed.

Tell them with covid you do not want anyone touching your phone. Then it will remain sealed and you can resell.
