Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

Tell them with covid you do not want anyone touching your phone. Then it will remain sealed and you can resell.
Absolutely ridiculous. "Please don't give COVID to my phones.".

Interesting ... the link you provided offers $285 for an i11, while starting from the gamestop main page only offers $251.00. Are you now spying on me? ;--)
If you select unlock, it will only have $251, that's Metro Phone, you should select Other, Still have $289 TIV last night.

It's very low risk but there is a possibility covid can be transferred from surface to surface. Have you not seen people wearing plastic gloves in public nowadays? The point is just use that as an excuse for not allowing them to open your phone. Sealed phones can be sold for way more.

It is March 8, 2022. This isn't March 8, 2020. We have learned plenty and covid has been declining. The employees aren't clueless and they know exactly about resellers with these type of $49 iphone deals. They probably get 20 iphone flippers every day saying "Don't open the box". The "Please don't give my phone covid" excuse is laughable especially if the customer isn't wearing mask and rubber gloves when they make such a request.

Well everyone still wears mask around here. And nothing has really changed on how the public acts around here when it comes to covid in the last two years. Maybe it won't work in your area where people don't care about covid. But in health conscious areas it should work easily.

Why would you throw a perfectly good visa card which can be spent anywhere into amzn? Just trade for amzn GC if that's what you want. You'll probably get more than straight cash visa.
I guess you missed the part where I cautioned people that there have been reports that their cards have been emptied out by someone or hackers. Who knows

here's an example from the XR thread
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=153048118&postcount=1230

people were trading them in for $235 and that person tried using it and it was empty.

I was able to get phone ... not available readily

Total was like 210. CSR tried to tell me that case and glass protector are part of deal. Told him to drop that.

Idiot made a mistake in acct no for porting so spent more time. So i was able to make calls but not receive them on new phone.

Sounds like your port in not completed cause you not able receive the call from new carrier, you have to call in to complete your port in or lose your server maybe within 72 hrs.

They made a similar mistake on mine. I had to call 1-800-518-7519 (Metro department handling porting issues) to resolve it.

Okay then pay a utility bill or your internet bill instead of throwing it into amzn. You can do that the second you step out of the store too.

what is the tech behind 6 month lock period. does apple manufacture phones for metro with 6 month lockin period.

Just wondering how it gets unlocked after 6 months sitting in desk. All contact with metro is over after one month.
