Weirdly when the same kid goggles in this post are posted by non-staff it doesn't become popular:

seems like a lot of SDers have bought in the past. quite a mix of lovers and haters, so ymmv.
but take this post and "popularity" with grain of salt.
For Adults, def get Pro version (magnetic lenses) -- I have 5 pairs of them.
MANY people (like myself) who ski a lot and have used expensive goggles get these and know they are a great price for a 'good' goggle (no not high-end Smith quality, etc). If they get scratched or lost you just get another.
OutdoorMaster ARE legit goggles... 80% as good for 20% the price (on sale)

I'm seeing Smith Squads for $66 right now on EVO, which is actually a decent deal. I've never seen them for $30 but, yeah, that would be a better deal than this if you can find that. Squads are definitely more stylish than the cheap Amazon goggles. The difference in build quality is not huge...
I've been a member here for 10 years and I spent 7 years living at a ski resort in Colorado. I have a good understanding of gear quality, and I've owned a few pairs of this cheap Amazon brand because the value-for-money is about as good as it gets, especially when they are on sale. Suffice to say I'm not a shill and I don't understand the hatred for these goggles. The only theory I have for it is that these people spent $200 on Oakley's that still fogged up anyway, because they are Jerry's who don't know better than to tuck their mask/gaiter straight into their goggs. Now they have buyer's remorse so they flock in to poop all over these deal threads to convince themselves that they didn't waste hundreds of dollars on crappy Luxotica products just to subsidize their massive marketing budgets.

See sarcasmogratis' comment above for the research regarding shilling on SD. He has way more credibility than you or I on this site. I guess he too has joined the crusade against shilling.
People keep talking about being able to get goggles from major brands for ~$30 without providing any links. I've literally never seen that once, and yes-- I buy all my gear in spring/summer to get the best possible deals.
In terms of outfitting yourself for skiing/snowboarding, goggles from major brands like Oakley and Smith stand out as the most unjustifiably overpriced thing you will wear. When it comes to gloves, jackets, pants, etc, you often get what you pay for in terms of waterproofing and longevity. Goggles are completely different-- "premium" Oakley goggles can go for nearly $300, even though they probably cost about $20 to produce. One of the biggest, most shameless scams in an industry with very little shame to speak of.

i've done cheap goggles years ago, and these really aren't. they are not like my oakley's but they're not 200 dollars either. they are certainly worth 50-70 dollars let alone 20. they don't have the contrast in flat light like you'll get with a higher quality lens of a smith or oakley, but it's really not bad either. the most important part is the fogging. they don't fog up.
once again, they're not going to replace my good oakley's when going off piste or hitting double black diamonds, but they'll work great for your typical groomers at a really good price point. they are a little on the big size, but that's kinda the style now though.
