The "Like New" ones are gone.

EDIT: You have to look near the end of the list to find the "like new" models. Not a bad deal if you need one and don't mind the cord.

I stand corrected! For some reason they have the "like new" models listed after the actual new ones. I've never seen that happen before... having to go to the end of the list to locate used models.

Tips on purchasing amazon warehouse deals… see if previous recipient's packing slip is still inside the box = they didn't bother inspecting the unit. Shake the unit if you hear rattling near the handles return it. Check the condition of the wheels. Check that it rotates. If you can, check the condition of the motor. Check that the unit obviously turns on.

I bought this last year. It does a satisfactory job for the money. I needed to make 2 passes to
do a thorough job. The cord can be a bit of a pain, but I only use it once a year, so no big deal.

Do you need to dethatch every year? My sod is 1 year old. This needs to be done in spring?

Most people don't have a thatching problem. In fact thatch can be beneficial for your lawn, providing shade and nutrients. So an even slicker deal is NOT to buy this and determine why you have a thatch problem. Usually, when it's a problem is when you don't deep water enough.
