Legitimate reasons not to buy this watch:
If you don't appreciate the old fashioned charm of automatic (self-winding mechanical) movements, look elsewhere.
If you hate the idea of a Submariner homage, look for an original design. But but don't harp on Invicta for copying Rolex's iconic design, because they're far from the only company that does this.
If you're willing to brave the wild world of Aliexpress and other Chinese retail sites, you can get a similar Submariner homage with better specs for not a lot more ($75-$100)
The Invicta logo engraved on the side of the case bugs the crap out of some people.
Are you sure you want a dive watch? It gets its 200 meter water resistance in part due to its screw down crown, as does just about every other dive watch on the planet. If you forget to screw that crown back down after setting the time and get it wet, even once, you WILL ruin your watch.
For this price nothing can touch it. There are better watches to be had albeit at a 300% increase in price.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new watch. As others have mentioned they do make a good modding watch base, and there are some pretty great looking mods out there.
Why buy it if you can't afford to even wear it?
Nope, absolutely not! If you wanted to start with inexpensive Swiss watches, try Tissot, Certina, Hamilton and similar priced watches. Invicta is cheap quality and use shady marketing ploy of inflating the MSRP to outrageous amount like $600 and slash down to $60. Trust me they fooled a lot of newbies with this unethical marketing ploy. Check out all Invicta watches across multiple retail outlet and you will know what I mean.

LOL at "wasting additional TIMe" especially this is a watch discussion. Good punch line. I agree with you. Invicta piece of shiete die hards defending the brand and quickly forget about their biases the moment they save enough to afford a real quality Swiss watch.
But don't you use Dive Computers? I mean using a dive watch is really just jewelry.
Invicta got me into watches… and you soon learn what is quality and what is desirable and you also learn that watch people are super opinionated and snobbish but there are those here who want to guide you to not waste your money.
For long term durability - stay away from gold plating on anything… it rubs off.
For auto vs quartz - quartz always is more accurate and more durable , but you have to change the battery every 2-5 years (depending on movement).
I recommend Citizen Eco Drive - essentially bulletproof like a gshock but in a classic design. I have 2 going on 8 years and never skipped a beat.
For Swiss vs Japanese auto, go Swiss. You pay more but it's more durable and you can get serviced. Japanese auto are not as accurate but you can get good results for the money.
As for Invicta… the brand has a stigma of ignorance or ghetto ness… I will let you decide
Isnt that discontinued and goes for $15k on the preown sites lol

Great beater watch
Get a 5 digit for $13k. Joking aside tho, invicta is garbage, just buy a gshock.
