Legitimate reasons not to buy this watch:
If you don't appreciate the old fashioned charm of automatic (self-winding mechanical) movements, look elsewhere.
If you hate the idea of a Submariner homage, look for an original design. But but don't harp on Invicta for copying Rolex's iconic design, because they're far from the only company that does this.
If you're willing to brave the wild world of Aliexpress and other Chinese retail sites, you can get a similar Submariner homage with better specs for not a lot more ($75-$100)
The Invicta logo engraved on the side of the case bugs the crap out of some people.
Are you sure you want a dive watch? It gets its 200 meter water resistance in part due to its screw down crown, as does just about every other dive watch on the planet. If you forget to screw that crown back down after setting the time and get it wet, even once, you WILL ruin your watch.
For this price nothing can touch it. There are better watches to be had albeit at a 300% increase in price.

Vaer D5 autos are where i landed. I wear them more then my Rolex
This isn't even close to true of the SD crowd. Most people are NOT watch enthusiasts. Most people do NOT want to have to worry about keeping an auto wound and / or set it after not using for a few days. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if half the people saw this, saw the thumbs, and snap order and then are baffled when they receive a watch that doesn't have a battery in it. This discussion absolutely is helping people figure out what this product is, and what the alternatives are. Again, your tone is "we don't need to have this discussion" but it's predicated on faulty assumptions, and so I'll repeat - there's no good reason to try and dismiss what I'm saying.
Since you obviously feel the need to address everyones comment I expect you will mine as well. I know they way my Invictas have aged and nothing you can say will sway that fact.
Oh so you experience invalidates that of those of thousands of people who've left reviews and experiences all over the internet from forums to the reviews of these watches? Got it. I'll bet your DeLorean is in mint condition too.
I'm glad you like your Invictas. I like mine too... the ones that don't have the gold coloring that is.
Batteries are crazy cheap, and as is case back tool (if you even really want to buy one) that will outlast several generations of people. The cost to replace batteries vs the cost to service a auto movement isn't even close.

You're sounding like a know-it-all idiot. I'm sure you will feel the need again to retort as you continuously do. You are not worth my wasting any additional time with.
And anyone that laughs at someone for something they wear like clothes or a watch deserves no respect.
Buy what you like, wear what you like, because it's your money and your life. Let the haters hate.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new watch. As others have mentioned they do make a good modding watch base, and there are some pretty great looking mods out there.
I completely agree.
But with the current shortage of NH35s, the movement itself can sell for as much as this watch costs to the end user. Honestly it is insane, the sad part I see in all this is the fact that very respectable movement could have been used in a watch that gets more respect.
If the trend continues on, I'll likely kick myself in a few years for not picking up one of these just to have the movement that I could replace one of my many other watches that use the same one in, but look better.

I like the looks of that one as opposed to the gold men's one.
I like this stainless one with blue, $46
https://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Di...B07SH3673C
and in stainless + grey/black $46

Looks like they have lots under $50 if you dig around. Invicta isn't my favorite brand, but the price is hard to argue with.
