Skimming my emails half asleep and found this smoking deal on a gaming monitor (or TV if you prefer, or both!). Newegg is offering this as a limited time deal, most likely today only. It is $1199.99 on their site, but has a $200.00 off promo code bringing the price to $999.99. Additionally, Gigabyte (NOT Newegg!) is offering a $200.00 rebate that expires tomorrow (so be sure to fill it out quickly). That makes the final price $999.99 +your local tax rate, then -$200, equaling approximately $799.99 pre-tax. LIMIT 1 for both the promo code and rebate. Even Amazon direct is selling this for $1199.99.

OLED screen, 4K, 120Hz, 1ms, highly rated by Rtings. What more do you need? Just be aware of OLED burn-in.

Let me know if I need to change or update the post in any way, and I'll edit it as soon as I wake up. This just seemed way too cheap to not be posted anywhere.

At $800, you are better off taking a chance on the refurb LG C1 from woot because this monitor's HDMI 2.1 port is running at half of the HDMI 2.1 speed which means compression and lower image quality than C1. Check out the YouTube video that compare this to the LG C1 and you will understand why even at $800 it's a no go. You can easily fix the auto brightness issue on this monitor but you can't fix the half speed HDMI 2.1 limitation of this monitor. Why do you think they keep going on sale at $800 AR? Because its a bad product and people did their research would not touch with a 10 foot pole. Hardware unboxed said the peak brightness is awful on this monitor and do not recommend desktop usage, it's inferior to LG C1 in every category https://youtu.be/UniOmgwna7M
Certainly wouldn't trust buying any expensive monitors from NeverEgg.
That HDMI 2.1 Speed is a downside but only for Console users. For PC Gamers, that's not an issue in the first place because you can simply use Display port 1.4, present in every modern graphics card. Let's not make such a big fuss about that because it is clearly not.

This is by far the cheapest price for this Monitor and pretty solid deal in my opinion. The only drawback is the maximum brightness, just all the current generation OLED monitors, which is below 200 nits. So, you may want to keep it in a darker environment. Apart from that, it has extremely solid response time, far better than any IPS, TN or VA monitors.

Can't speak for this TVs rebate, but I did the $500 rebate on a gigabyte laptop from October on newegg. Did usps $25 mail with tracking to send it in. No issues getting it, but it took almost 3 months to send it to me. It comes as a check

A lot of people seem to be complaining about auto brightness adjustment being way too aggressive and making the monitor a bad experience.

Just read the reviews, bad pixel layout especially for use as monitor.

The LG C1 produced 409 nits of brightness…

Was considering this monitor to replace my 40" 1080p 60hz set from 5+ years ago that I use as 2nd PC monitor but was concerned about OLED burn-in. With this additional information about half HDMI and pixel layout, this confirms it for me that I'll skip.

I know there's OLED options but If I don't want to worry about OLED burn-in, can anyone recommend a 40" to 48" (43" seems ideal) 4k 120hz set that'd be good for PC monitor use? I feel like my options are very limited. Is Sony's X85J the only decent choice?
