This is actually a pretty good price. I got in on the previous deal of a lifetime on this set and tried to calculate how much I'd get selling the individual tools. At reasonably good classified sales prices, it comes out at this price. That doesn't even include the giant chest which is worth at least $50.

Current classifieds ad prices are around $450. The benefit to those interested in this deal is that it will depress the resale prices more. I expect them to sell at $400 or less. If you're not all paranoid about warranty coverage, you should get some good deals in the local classifieds. Know that the seller paid nothing for the tools.

Also note that HD seems to be trying to get rid of these and has been dropping the price since the debacle. $530 to now $480.

Home Depot has a 5 tool Ridgid set for $219. This set dos not include the grinder and sander; however, for a savings of $260 you can get a couple of tools (bare or with additional batteries). I got the brushless Ridgid router and a jig saw and 4 more batteries; total was still under the Dewalt price for the 7 tool kit. The big ting for me was getting tools that I will use.
