I still use mine! Currently use it for Gamepass, Shadow PC, phone emulators, etc. works great for all. Be sure to check if your phone will fit, I have a S21 Ultra and needed to use a slim case to fit it in the holder. Although I did have a bulky OtterBox case beforehand so your mileage may vary.

Build quality is great, it's definitely a premium controller, the buttons have a mechanical keyboard type click to them. Built like a tank, has good weight, and feels very comfortable to hold with rubber type grips in the back. There are two dedicated Bluetooth switches in the back, so there's no questioning which device to connect to once paired with each. USB direct connection is also possible with the included OTG cable.

My only gripe is battery life is a bit low, although it could just be me binging on Elden Ring with it recently!!!
Regular $150 for this?! Surely that's exaggerated
Magnetic connectors are not compliant with the USB-C spec and there is a reason that they are not used in normal applications. Apple and Microsoft put teams of engineers to work to develop safe methods of making and breaking power connections without a physical 'first ground, then power' ability since this can lead to fried electronics. Do you trust random 'built to lowest cost' manufacturers breaking the spec to do the same?

I know this is relatively ancient now, but how's it hold up in 2022? Anyone have one?

Nice, thanks for the writeup! I don't think it'll fit my z fold 3 but I wasn't planning on it. I do like that you can connect multiple devices. I can see where that could be really handy.

Needed a new controller for Android phone. Considering this is the lowest it ever got, why not.

Although these types of controllers are top heavy, I prefer it over the Kishi because I hate plugging in the USB-C all the time on my device (wears out the port much faster) and it also blocks audio from the bottom which is really annoying.

lol, USB-C was designed to be much, much , much better than MicroUSB at handling wear and tear. Inside the port on USB-C, the part that provides pressure and can wear out is part of the cable as opposed to MicroUSB where the port itself would wear out. This means that worst-case... you replace the cable. I wouldn't worry about it.

The kishi is really a great controller but for me, I hated having to remove the case off my phone to use it. I had a note 20 Ultra when I was using it. If your case is actually protective and not just a skin, odds are you'll have to remove it too. Since I upgraded to the Fold 3, it won't work at all now... not even hooked up through a usbc cord that I rigged to work on some other phones and tablets.

I have a bunch of Xbox Controllers already, is it worth getting this instead of just using an Xbox Controller with a mount (already have 1 too)?

I feel the same way about having to take the case off my Pixel 6 to play the Kishi
