These locks are good for locking the zipper pulls together rather than using as theft deterrent. Split key rings work as well for that purpose but locks are a bit easier especially for older folks
Have used these for years. Use with older better style M&P gun case for my pills and 2nd one for my vaping stuff. They are not strong, no way they could be being this small. However, you'll know if they were tampered with because the lock would just fully break I assume and be very easy to tell.
You all realize locks on zippered suit cases is probably the worst way to secure anything. You can literally take a Pen, jam it into the Zipper and open it up. Then, use the "locked" zipper and move it around to close back up the hole.
Absolutely ridiculous people think this helps.
Probably could just take a knife to the bag, rather than messing with the lock. Lol

What exactly does this mean?
I'm looking to buy several luggage locks fire Spring and Summer travel...
If you check a bag it goes through the TSA security check process and could be subject to a random search. If it is then TSA needs to get into your bag. If the lock is 'TSA approved' it means that the TSA has a master key for it and can unlock and relock it. If it's not then TSA will simply cut it off and throw it away and when you get to your destination you'll find it unlocked.
So these locks are only good for carry-on or locking your bags at the hotel, etc. They're no good for checked bags and they're no good for international travel as they don't have TSA keys and will cut off even a TSA approved lock.
Edit: This is what a TSA lock looks like with the red 'diamond' symbol: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0114C1TM0 I'm not recommending that lock or anything, it's just a random listing for reference.
How does the OP compare, ie. shackle diameter? It's hard to tell how big they are in the photos. Or is the OP one of the tiny ones you'd use on luggage?
Honestly, (pun intended) if I saw two identical bags, I'd think the bag with any lock would be better you take .... poor folk don't lock their bags, why would they?
