FWIW I have the Combo Touch for my iPad Pro and love it. Yes it's pricey but if you're looking for something with a stand, detachable keyboard, and don't have to charge, you can't beat it.

I have had all different cases,
1. Apple Magic Keyboard with and without the trackpad
2. Logitech Slim Folio
3. Logitech Combo Touch

Honestly, the trackpad just sucks. A bluetooth mouse way way better.
I kept the Slim Folio because:
1. It doesn't take up much space
2. Kept my Apple Pencil
3. Allow me to use my iPad laying flat or writing on my iPad easier
4. Much much lighter
5. Much much cheaper

When you have the Magic Keyboard or the Combo touch, you can't use it on your lap because its so damn wobbly. Completely ruins the point of having an iPad in the first place!

Out in the wild, I rarely rarely see anyone with the Magic Keyboard and I travel extensively. IMO the Magic Keyboard is one of the worst designed products, its an absolute joke. It doesn't offer protection, it doesn't hold your pencil in place, and you move things to fast and there goes your $1000 iPad.

Magnetics are great, just why are we using them everywhere when it doesn't add any benefit is just stupid.

Combo is a nicer keyboard and case.

Magic is a better stand.

Okay, but not even comparable since magic keyboard for iPad isn't detachable.

Meh... Try this type https://www.zagg.com/en_us/rugged..._D_BwE&kw=

$75 on sale and the way the back support flips down, you can easily use it like a laptop... Works really well on your lap.

Only issue is, no touchpad.

Apples to oranges. The Zagg requires separate charger since it has battery and is much thicker and heavier because of it.

Thanks for the heads up! Just bought on Amazon last week for $179.99. I also purchased the Brydge Max+ 11 and returned it because I preferred the Logitech case. The trackpad is the same size, and using the smart connector makes the logi much more convenient.

Where? Genuine OEM or third party? Brand new?

Complete opposite experience. I got this for my iPad a month ago. With pretty light use the mousepad looks like it's 5 years old and paints peeling at the keys. The piece that connects the keyboard to the case is also split along the seam. Just sent it back this morning.

Anyone own both this and the Magic Keyboard? If you had to pick one, which one would you go with?

I've seen that unicorn on best buy. Geek sq refurbished, but it's either always OOS or they cancel the order. I've been able to order 2 or 3 times on Bby but the order was cancelled each time

Set an alert for it - you'll probably see it go on sale twice a year.

Seems like people on Reddit are split, but it looks like it's worth a gamble since it's half the price and you can just return it if you don't like it.

Still regretting not getting the magic keyboard when it was everywhere for $149. Maybe one day it will drop to that price again
