1. Insurance paid for as part of the rental.
2. If you decline CDW, your own personal insurance kicks in.
3. If you don't have personal insurance or have high deductible then you can claim against your credit card. Your credit card will only pay out if you declined CDW when you took out the rental.

Also from those emails, it looks like avis is already aware of slickdeals and probably monitors code abuse so use those random company codes at your own risk if you dont work there.

Once I saw about the business account I ran the same deal on Kayak and was able to get the same end total price for premium for 6 days for my trip in April. The $100+ faxes and fees at checkout on Avids website is what kills the deal. If you do try this deal make sure you incorporate those taxes and fees, but buyer beware about your credit card insurance not covering due to not being an employee using that AWD.
I do thank you for making me my end my procrastination having to order my rental for my trip though :-)

I'm an attorney and I believe that statement to be very false. In order to prove fraud you would have to actively demonstrate in court that the renter is knowingly working to deceive the company. That would be very difficult. These codes are posted all over the place online. Avis makes very little safeguards to inform people about the discount codes and prevent ineligible people from booking a vehicle. Insurances, especially personal, would have no grounds to deny coverage just because Avis accidentally let the customer utilize a discount code that the renter was actually ineligible for.

Sorry, you're wrong. Your CC company doesn't check the rate that was used. I've had an accident and used my amex rental coverage to pay for the repair.
It's so annoying when people pretend to know about something.

a. Some Corporate Rate codes have INSURANCE built into the rates for "BUSINESS" travel. In order to claim benefits from that insurance you would need to be part of that corporate group and on "BUSINESS" travel
b. For credit cards that provide Insurance coverage , they do not care about what rate code you used.
