About this Game:
- Looking for a fresh start and some new surroundings, you set off on a voyage to begin your new life! Unfortunately, the weather has different plans, as your ship is hit by a storm, and goes down! You drift into a small harbor town, now in shambles from the storm, where a young doctor named Jeanne saves your life. The town has been deserted, but you're never one to back down from a challenge! It will be up to you to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse...but it won't be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, you will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town, your new home!

The original development team parted ways with the publisher awhile back. The publisher kept the name and published their own games independently under the Harvest Moon name. The original series now goes by the name Story of Seasons.
Personally I don't find these new "Harvest Moon" games any fun at all. They just seem like a generic farming game with the Harvest Moon name. I also don't find the Story of Season games as fun as the older games but they are way better than what Harvest Moon is now.
Worth a try though if it looks interesting to you. Thought it was just worth mentioning if you're expecting something like the classic games for this title.

Agreed. Pro tip: buy stardew Valley and fall in love.

I hear Stardew Valley is a good alternative. 👍
Stardew valley was too overwhelming for me. Maybe just needed to dedicate more time? Idk
Yeah I honestly played it for a couple hours and it didn't click with me. But I hear many classic Harvest Moon fans enjoy it
I didn't find it overwhelming, but I didn't feel like it had the same charm Harvest Moon: Back To Nature had. Rune Factory is made by the original HM team and feels very similar to early HM, albeit with added RPG and dungeon crawler elements.
