Wish it had 2 deep with 3 or 2 supers. I am new to beekeeping. But from what I read, 1 deep is too risky for North Carolina winter. If you are in North, maybe need 3 deeps, according to the bee professor at U of Minnesota: https://beelab.umn.edu/manuals

Thanks for the input! I SO want to venture into beekeeping, but have just begun to do my research. I haven't gotten far, but I was ready to jump on this for future use. My fear of causing harm due to my lack of knowledge outweighs my bursting excitement to start so... Whew! Lol
