Nice price with nice port options. Although not 1440p, this is a great price for a high refresh-rate curved 27" VA.

Just because you have a old GPU doesn't mean other ppl can't enjoy 1440p 144hz gaming.....

1440p doesnt suck, its just not practical for the average joe. 1440p at 144hz requires an expensive 700$ GPU to maximize the monitor's full potential. 1080p at 144hz is still great (using one right now) with the rtx 3060ti and it doesnt break the bank.

Is this perfect for work and light gaming on a 3050ti Dell xps laptop? How is this deal compared to the Monoprice 27" curved zero-G for 199 on Newegg?

I will be running two of these monitors through a Dell hub.

Appreciate any advise!

i dont have this monitor but i have a 75hz ips monitor from Acer. VA is pretty good and a step lower than IPS but better than typical LED. as for your rtx 3050ti, this would be a good deal as that gpu can push a decent amount of framerate on light gaming if settings are lowered a bit. for this price and a future proof monitor, this is actually a really good deal.

Friends don't let friends buy 27" 1080p monitors. Either stick to 24"/1080 or move to 27/1440 if your GPU can handle it.

27" in 1080p on a monitor looks like absolutely garbo side by side to their respective counter parts.

27" in 1080p is going to look bad. 3050ti laptop can't handle 1440p well enough to consider it. I would stick to a 24"/144Hz/1080p monitor. No one who knows what they're doing would ever suggest a 27" 1080p monitor and a curved monitor just limits viewing angles more and is pretty gimmicky.

For $210 you can get the Dell 240Hz 24" IPS display from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B095TVWL6M)

For $199 you can get the Monoprice ZeroG 144/144Hz from Newegg.

For $170 you can get the frameless 24" 24G2 from AOC in IPS for $170 (amazon)

I've worked at many offices where the entire floor has Acer monitors. They're pretty reliable in general.

Funny, i'm using a 2016 refurb acer laptop as a bedroom laptop and there are 2 acer 21" flat monitors from 2015 getting daily use - no problems here !

I had heard that 27" 1080p is actually ideal for gaming ... over 27" and you get into the realm of 1440.
27" today is what 24" was 5 years ago.
