This is after the whole cpu liquid metal issue and they fixed it right after. Still running stock ram and handles all my games
(BF2042, GoW, Destiny 2, COD, Apex, Val, Cyberpunk)
Low FPS on silent - just plug your charger in, and put it on performance. Idk why you are running it on silent in the first place lol
Liquid metal - hit or miss if you buy open box cause these are the ones that people returned for issues at Best Buy
I wouldn't consider an open box IMO just get a fresh new one that's still within budget if you can snag it for 1400-1500. I seen it on sale twice last year for best buy.
It looked like someone ate fried chicken and then played some FPS and greased up the keys.
Its clear best buy tried to wipe it off but could not get it all off. I cleaned it and hopefully everything else is ok.
There is still manufacturer warranty until the end of the year so I think I'm covered... ? I don't know a lot about the slow ram thing but I checked HwInfo64 and tRFC 560 is supposed to be the fast one?
First open box. hope it lasts. Seems like a pretty good deal overall.

This GPU is nearly as powerful as the 3080 in laptops although it does consume about 25% more power when pushed to the limit.
The CPU is much more efficient than comparable intel chips for this generation, though (typical 15w vs ~30w) which will give better battery life when not gaming.
What everyone is saying about the liquid metal is true, however.
From what I've read the first batches of these have poor thermals because of it, so I wouldn't buy an open box unless you're getting some type of extended warranty.
