14TB was $200 back around Black Friday... that's what Cx3 shows
Didn't BB used to offer a deal where you could give them an old HDD or something similar like a USB drive and they give you an additional $20 or $30 off your purchase of a HDD?
Edit: nevermind, I found their recycle promotions and they do offer deals on networking and printing equipment right now, but not storage media.

That's why you put them in a RAID state. I have 5x14Tb in my Syno and they run fine. No worries. I also have 2x8Tb in an external enclosure backed up to Backblaze.

Plex works pretty great. Just point it at your music library on the drive and it'll match all the tracks. Not sure if that feature requires Plexpass though.

Thinking the same… have a 4TB external that died recently. Sitting in my office waiting for the trade in offer to come back. Got a 14Tb external a few months ago for $160 due to the trade in offer.

Lol so you just want to segment your data forever so that you lose less when it inevitably fails? Add redundancy or backups
