They like to throw money but it works. Personally I like Microsoft bc they allow many studios to be multi platform. Cuphead and ori are two examples. Ppl see it as weakness but for me it creates goodwill.

Like others have said, Xbox is doing it right this Gen. I give the analogy of the best running shoes available:
Is it Brooks, is it Altras, maybe some Hokas? Most likely, but what shoes gets purchased the most? Nike shoes because it looks cool, it's what people are used to and people want the status of that Nike check.

That said… if you really like the Sony exclusive properties then a PS5 is probably still the right choice for you. The PS5 is a great console, but the experience is just a bit more frustrating than Xbox has been for me. Fewer performance upgrades for older games, and in general they are more limited since there is a split between PS4 and PS5 games. A number will require $10 upgrades to a proper PS5 version, but it often tries to install both versions side by side. This wastes space or requires you to delete the ps4 version whenever you play. Maybe not an issue for digital though?
Anyway, just my thoughts. If you like 3rd party titles and don't have a ton of friends on PlayStation already, get a Series X… I think you'll love it. Microsoft's first party library will continue to grow and already has some great titles(Forza Horizon 5 is a system seller for me).
But in all seriousness there isn't really any bad option
