Very good user reviews, but Consumer Reports generally rates Conway models middlingly. They reviewed the slightly smaller Airmega 300 and found it was only Fair at removing dust, pollen, and smoke on Low speed. They also dinged it for being a little loud on High. It was Excellent at removing dust, pollen, and smoke on High speed. Competing models from Samsung, Blueair, and Alen rank higher. I've found CR reviews to not always reflect actual real life performance, so take it for what you will.
But Coway is backed by BTS (!) Smilie

Anyone know the best place to get replacement filters?
I have 400 and very difficult to find real Conway airmega filters. Just bought at HD recently.
I have 300 upstairs and 400 downstairs. Highly recommended.

I keep mine on 24/7. Any reason not to?
I'm in 1,200 sq and own four of the Airmega 200M: Living room, kitchen, bedroom and 2nd bedroom/gear room/office.

Right now/winter, I keep the one in my bedroom and living room running 24-7, the other two when I'm in those rooms. I turn the one in my office/gear room on (on high) when I head to the kitchen in the morn to make breakfast. An hour later I'm logging in to work and I turn it down.

I used to turn the one in my living room on/off, but too often I'd forget and then notice myself feeling stuffy later the evening when I was in that room. Once the weather warms up where my windows are open all the time, I keep all of them running 24/7.

It is overkill, but I didn't buy them all at one time. I bought each on sale over two years, the first one when one of the major Cali fires was killing me with smoke coming in, even with the windows closed.

Now that the filters are FSA-eligible I bought a fair amount when they hit a low price last year (thanks Camel3x) and will do the same again this year. No reason not to stock up. Monthly I take my hand vac and get the accumulated dust out of all of them.

I bought two sets from Walmart as they were on sale for $73. Up to $86 currently but still far better than full price. The knock off ones on Amazon have mixed reviews and supposedly reduced lifespan so I ponied up for the authentic ones.

If I'm looking at this correctly, you'd have to buy 2 sets for the 400S that is in this thread, so $172 based on current pricing.

I have one is these and it's pretty surprising how reactive the smart setting is. I'm happy with the purchase and am considering another

I also have the Honeywell HPA 5300 which is rated really well on a consumer reports. That air purifier is horrible and I'm not sure why It rates so high. It is very loud, uses 3 times the electric, and the sensor is only for VOCs not dust or pollen. The air mega 400 is more of in a league its own. Wish I would have bought two 400's.

I own the 400, not S. I also have the Winix. I love the Coway as it's quiet and pulls in a lot. The winix pulls in less and is louder. The coway is in my kitchen and tv room whereas the winix is in my bedroom.

I'm tempted to replace the winix with this. Smilie

Scheduling is key. You don't need it running 24/7 unless you wfh in a studio apartment.
I've been teleworking for 2 years now and was having allergy issues with dust. Got this Sept 2021 and run this thing 24/7 in the smart setting and have never turned it off. Allergies gone!
