AIr 4 still good for 5 years for daily normal use. we get $150+Tax saver here.
Unless there is a need for M1 chip Air5, for most people iAir4 is good enough. yes, we do miss few options.. but i am thinking like if i really need M1 chip iPad, i would go for Pro (may be some extra than Air5) instead of Air5 if i want to spend $600+
AIr is not a right model in iPad lineup.. but to me, Apple want to keep an iPad in every $200-$250 price differences and keep on improving those models.
If there is a real need for Air5 for a person who spending $599+tax. it would be better choice to stretch little and go for iPad Pro 11 inches 3rd gen for $769+tax at wholesales stores. iPad pro have plenty of super options and worth for money. like pro motion, lidar, dual cameras, better resolution
i believe air4 at $450 is nice deal
Thank you.
I'm not the only one: https://old.reddit.com/r/ipad/com...pixelated/
I returned a $399 refurb to get a new $559 Air 5 now (price matched BB to Walmart, which is sold out--and even BB is now backordered to April 9 on Space Gray).
My use case doesn't need M1 or more than 64GB, but future trade-in value likely makes the added cost a wash. In the meantime I get to use whatever new apps take advantage of the processor, a "new, not refurbed" warranty and the good feeling of having the "latest, greatest" Air.
The jump to 256GB or to Pro is steeper, and my use case doesn't justify it. I started out with a $500 budget for an iPad. I went over a little bit, but I won't go over by *that* much.
2 gen old iPad Air had a 3.5 mm jack
At that point it was only the pro models which removed the audio jack

When I can buy a single 128gb microSD card for $16 retail, a company like Apple is probably paying like a dollar or less, and then charging a hundred bucks extra. It's wild,
As consumers, we should demand that all devices have an SD card slot, so we aren't at the mercy of these price gouging companies. Memory is dirt cheap. They are making a killing.
