Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Does the $20 SIM when you order online take place of the standard $30 activation fee?

Curious about this as well. Online is supposed to skip the $30 activation fee, at least on consumer TMO. Just added an S22 and iP13 to cart with the tablets, and both of them also had the $20 sim kit fee added as well. . .

Can you use the SIM in a laptop?
If your Laptop takes SIM Cards like business laptops, then sure! I have an more expensive plan that works with it.

Yes. The consumer TMO offers a free chromebook with service, though $20+ plan. For obvious reasons, I don't think they want to offer a free lappy of any sort to business, especially with $10 plan

I don't see the tablet discounted in cart from "monthly totals" with the $10 tablet plan, but above the tablet has "promo T929 applied" which is the free tablet, so it should be covered eventually.

Ironically, if I try to buy the tablet with a $75 plan, that same T929 applied doesn't show up for the 75/mo plan in the cart like the above.

Find this interesting, as even though the terms for T929 stipulate only 2GB/mo. plan required, that promo was started a month before this $10 promo showed up, and I think somewhere upstairs at corp, they didn't intend both the free tab and $10 plan to be combined with free tablet, on top of no voice line required lol. This plan would be what $25-5 on consumer added onto voice line, but $65 without voice line. . .

I have tried using one of those free line sims in my iPad but for some reason the data plan is ridiculously slow (feel like it's 3G speed not even LTE). I don't know if it's the iPad or just the fact that you aren't supposed to use the SIM in a tablet. The sim works perfectly fine when I put it into my Pixel 4A 5G giving me 5G speeds. For reference my iPad is a iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen (2018, ATT version) so it isn't compatible with 5g only LTE.

Anyone else had similar experiences
I have one of those free line sims, and its data is slow in all my phones. Customer service couldn't figure out why, even after exchanging for a different sim.

You have to have a T-mobile business account - at least, that's where customer service shut me down. They did offer to set me up with a new account. How nice! 🤔

That's odd. I have 6 free lines, and even those that I haven't changed out for the newer SA 5G sims pull decent data speeds. Even old sim in cheap 4G phone I get 60-100Mbps, not earth shattering, but I live in the sticks so pretty good! It's when I put it in a tablet that things go to a crawl

The Mobile Internet Resource Center said you could sign up stand alone. So you shouldn't need an account and can sign up just for this plan as a new customer. No other plan needed. Must qualify for a business account of course.

I don't need this, nor want this, but damn AT&T Mobley unlimited plan is sucking dust lately and hardly worth it. I'm a light user as well. Maybe this plan can take up for AT&T's slack. Hope they figure out how to stream HD on this plan.

For some reason, it does not show up for me and I am a new business customer. But oddly it does show a $5 monthly auto-pay discount for me. Not sure why.
