Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I have a question.
I have a T-mobile hotspot that I got from facebook marketplace with a free unlimited 30 trial sim.
I didn't have to register with T-mobile or anything. The sim was preinstalled. I simply connected it and it worked.
If I take the sim from this offer and put it in the hotspot, will I get unlimited or 10gb data?
Thanks!
Neither.
It doesn't work at all. Tablet data plan sims don't work in hotspot devices, at least not for those free t-mobile hotspot devices. They may work in some hotspot devices whose imeis are not in t-mobile's system.

How about using this with a phone and google voice?

My phone is practically a tablet anyway. Surface Duo.
It works in phone, at least in android phones. Someone mentioned not working in iphones.

No, you can be new to TMO, but obviously you need to sign up for a TMO business account to get this.

There doesn't seem to be a requirement to also add voice lines, so there are options. . .

Many current TMO consumer customers are setting up separate TMO business account (for most requires a spouse and their SSN, or a EIN or TIN to do so), unless a smart store rep can bypass and setup a second account with same SSN.

Other current TMO consumer customers are transferring their current consumer plans over to a TMO business account.

This is the one I have questions about. I see those with grandfathered TMO One Plus, etc pans getting transferred ok. . .But I have a current Magenta plan (should be the same) but with 6 free lines, and insider 20% hookup as well. Guessing those wouldn't transfer? Just wondering, as I would rather grab these tablet line deals separately and not chance things lol

I am not 100% sure but for the tablet I think you have 14 days to like cancel return it I think? This is line from like contract they emailed me for financing the tablet

You have the right to cancel this agreement within 14 days (or more based upon where you made the purchase) of your acceptance and return the equipment in accordance with our return policy. If you exercise this right you will have no payment obligation under this agreement. Your equipment may not work with wireless services or on wireless networks that are not provided by T-Mobile.
From what I heard it is like 20 day returns for like phones and stuff (ship it back from the day you receive it and should not be charged a restocking fee).

I have tried using one of those free line sims in my iPad but for some reason the data plan is ridiculously slow (feel like it's 3G speed not even LTE). I don't know if it's the iPad or just the fact that you aren't supposed to use the SIM in a tablet. The sim works perfectly fine when I put it into my Pixel 4A 5G giving me 5G speeds. For reference my iPad is a iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen (2018, ATT version) so it isn't compatible with 5g only LTE.

Anyone else had similar experiences

maybe your iPad doesn't support the tablet or frequencies (all the high speed stuff on tmo seems to use the tmo specific frequencies)?

Afaik there's no tax on internet only line. When there's no voice involved there's shouldn't be any regulatory fees. Not sure if this changed recently

The employee in the store won't let you see the tablet?
