They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

There doesn't seem to be a requirement to also add voice lines, so there are options. . .
Many current TMO consumer customers are setting up separate TMO business account (for most requires a spouse and their SSN, or a EIN or TIN to do so), unless a smart store rep can bypass and setup a second account with same SSN.
Other current TMO consumer customers are transferring their current consumer plans over to a TMO business account.
This is the one I have questions about. I see those with grandfathered TMO One Plus, etc pans getting transferred ok. . .But I have a current Magenta plan (should be the same) but with 6 free lines, and insider 20% hookup as well. Guessing those wouldn't transfer? Just wondering, as I would rather grab these tablet line deals separately and not chance things lol
Thanks 🙏
Yes! It's a hard pull. It will hit your scores.
Hi, Pony
Have you tried to use the SIM card in the unlocked mobile hotspot from the previous deal?

I have a 20-year-old T-Mobile postpaid account, but set up a new Business account w/EIN just for this plan. I didn't want either plan to mix.
I asked for and received the Tax Inclusive plan.
I declined the free tablet, as there was a sizable deposit needed that I would've got back in 6 months. (My EIN was brand new, so this was probably the reason.) I honestly wouldn't have used it anyways, since I use Apple products.
I had the manager set me up on an ESIM, since my iPad already has a SIM from the FDFL plan in it, so no $20 SIM fee, but I did pay the $30 assistance fee.
The plan description in my iPad has 2PB as the limit. I'm assuming that if I were to ever go over that amount (I won't), that the unlimited high-speed data would continue.
I played around in the Business website. It can be a bit finicky sometimes, but I was able to do things and make name changes, etc. in it.
On YouTube, 720p works just fine, and 1080p SOMETIMES works. I'm happy with 720p.
All-in-all, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with this. $10 flat is a game-changer. I previously had the older $20 AT&T unlimited tablet plan, as well as the $15 Sprint plan w/10GB hotspot. This $10 T-Mobile plan def takes the cake!

No. Because I know a lot about cellular and know about what will happen if I do that.
Cell companies have three categories of devices:
Phone (can be used for voice calls)
Tablet, sometimes including cellular laptops (data only, used directly on the device)
Hotspots, routers (data only, not used directly on the device itself, but shared to an additional device)
These are not interchangeable. And they can tell by reading the device MEID and IMEI, which identify the device. They can also tell if it is on-device data or shared hotspot based on both TTL and by which APN is used (the APN for on-device usage is a different gateway than the DUN or PAM shared hotspot APN gateway).
It is not as simple as just moving the SIM card.
