Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Written or not... you won't get an autopay discount with either of these two plans.
then they will have to give me $5 credit every month.

Lol... not gonna happen, but they will give you a one-time courtesy credit for 6 months worth of the credit, or they will be happy to remove the line for you and, again, give you back that same $30 that you paid as an Assistance fee when you opened said line.

20+ year T-Mobile customer here. I know how it works.

It might help, see like my sister and mom like ported in from MetroPCS which wasn't eligible for deal, but she had like conversations with T-Mobile rep who said metropcs port will qualify for rebate. We didn't get $700 rebate (it was for iPhone X and 55+ plan) but got like $700 in account credit after we showed them screenshots. I get your point though, that it may not be even like worth fighting for it. but if you have spare time i think one should try asking for it. Surely, for lots of people, their time is way more valuable than begging for nonexistent auto pay discount i guess.
Yes, they can (and will) do a 1-time account credit in situations like you described, but what they WON'T do is a recurring monthly credit when the deets spell out that autopay is not valid on a particular plan. Always go by the acct. details.

Then I guess every single one of us will be getting an unlimited tablet plan w/10GB hotspot for $5 flat, huh? Well.... I've got two of these. Listen... I KNOW how it's going to end up, but I'm actually going to root for you. If you actually get this... then we all win. Can't wait to see a pic of your bill in about 20 days. Keep us all in the loop.

Just one tablet, but yes, I grabbed two of these TI promo lines.

The physical SIM that's in the tablet is a 200 mb FDFL SIM, so when I set this promo plan up on the same tablet, I had them do it as an eSIM. My 2nd promo tablet SIM is a physical one... just sitting in a drawer for now until I get a 5G tablet in a few weeks.

Data points on download/upload speeds.

San Francisco (west) - 15.9 Mbps down / 1.25 Mbps up to 26.5 Mbps down / 7.17 Mbps up
iPad Mini 4 LTE on the $10 Magenta T-Mobile tablet data plan

As comparison:
- iPad Mini on Sonic fiber via Wi-Fi = 99.2 down / 85.7 up
- iPhone 11 on Sonic fiber via Wi-Fi = 101 down / 67.1 up
- iPhone 11 on Verizon (5G unlimited data plan @ 4G speeds) = 269 down / 23.6 up
- iPad Mini on iPhone 11 hotspot (Verizon) = 63.3 down / 55.8 up (the upload speed is a bit strange since I'm usually capped at around 30mbps on the upload side with LTE)
- iPhone 11 on iPad Mini LTE hotspot (T-Mobile) = 16.0 down / 14.0 up

** updated with testing on my Verizon (unlocked) Inseego 8800L 4G/LTE hotspot - the T-Mobile Magenta data plan SIM card registers with the hotspot correctly, gets a valid APN, but SIM status says "Non-Verizon SIM T-Mobile"
- iPhone 11 on Inseego 8800L Wifi (Verizon 5G data plan) - 126 up / 59.8 down
- iPhone 11 on Inseego 8800L Wifi (T-Mobile Magenta Unlimited data plan) - 21.8 down / 6.28 up
- iPhone 11 on Inseego 8800L Tethered via USB to a WiFi Travel Router (T-Mobile Magenta Unlimited data plan) - 32.8 down / 9.08 up

*** speeds varied on consecutive runs with the Speed Test app; obviously the speeds depend on the number of devices hitting the cell towers around me at any given moment. Case in point, after running all of these tests, I came back to the iPad on T-Mobile and am only getting 10.7 down / 0.99 up.

Decided to push it in the TMOHS1 hotspot over 10GB to see if it's using hotspot or data. I'll report back tomorrow, probably. I'm up to 2.5GB so far watching Youtube.

Alright, just finished signed up 2 lines of this plan and a free tablet! I will give the free Samsung Tablet to the nephew so that he can watch his Youtube online lol. The other line, I just signed up for the line... it'll probably go toward the new ipad air with 5G speed.

I signed up online through Tmobile business website, it did my credit check (EIN only), indicated my account is approved for 12 lines and when I clicked check out, it does the same screen again and errored out. When I called the 1866 number, I was told the account is "tentative" and to go to the Tmobile store to get it set up.

Got all my documentations, EIN letter from IRS, ID, etc. and still took the rep 45 minutes. She has to call into the business line also to get my account set up, and set my name under the "authorized user" since the line is under business name. She said that even though I owned the business, it would still cause some issues later if my name is not on there.

Anywho, paid $72 as down payment which I would get back as credit, $60 for the two sim cards and 45 minutes. Not too bad for this deal tbh. Peace
I had the samething happen to me. I used my own SS# for credit approval then proceeded for the free tablet but by the time I was able to agree to terms, the check out button was grayed. I was already able to generate a account # by now. Tried again to check out and then the system said to call or visit a cooperate store. I called the business line and pretty much activated sim only. The free tablet not really free unless u plan to stay for the entire term. Anybody can get this plan. You don't need a real business. Use ur SS# and ur last name as ur business when they verify you. Even though its limited to 480p you can still stream 1080p atleast from my results. I still think ATT's standalone 20.00 tablet line is better because you can easily bypass hotspot data out of the box.

What documentation did you take? Just your ID and EIN letter?

I got the tablet and line activated today. I've got 5g with 130mb/s down. Does anyone know if I can return the tablet but keep the line? I'm not confident I'll get the free tablet promo. I don't see it on my account. And I really have no use for another low-end tablet anyway.

I don't think this will last too long. A $10 per month unlimited tablet plan sounds too good to be true especially with most other offerings at $20 per month. In general, if a plan is too good, it gets retired and replaced with a more expensive plan with worse offerings.

Ok , if that is the case , then are they going to retire the free unlimited phone lines too? That will make many people upset
