The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Right now that could end badly for hacked software.
There is no free tablet promotion.
What's the option? cancel/return/reorder?

The most hackware is google and NSA. You need to worry more about USA software than Russia or China software if you live in the States becuase they can get you physically and financially accountable if they want to.
In some sense, it is better to use foreign softwares/host servers because your local authorities like NSA are less likely to be able to monitor you and you most likely are valueless to foreign entities.

Tweet to them at https://twitter.com/tmobilehelp and when they contact you, tell them about it
Ask them - I wanted to check if Promo T929, work with ZB10HSTI plan (if you got TI plan) or ZB10HSTE (if you got TE plan). Tell them to check and apply the promotion for you.
If not you got 14 days (after delivery) to return. I think there is stocking fee, dunno exactly how much brother.
Can you please share more details on how to do this?
I already have a ATT tablet plan and was thinking to get this and close that one.
It is so so popular in rural areas, where people have no internet options. I heard some people like buy it from resellers for like $75~$120/month. Just for using the plan. I saw people on reddit pulling TBs on that plan and not get throttled, banned or even warning.
Look at this video, she is probably buying that ATT plan for $110/month from reseller.

Some people have like big antennas hooked up to Nighthawk M1, look at images at https://imgur.com/gallery/4IbXE
I may redo with my SSN now

Thanks. I might stick to the ATT plan then. I pay around 18 bucks (15+tax) with taxes for my line on my brother's account with first responder discount.
Time to look for an ATT hotspot over the net now...
I would suggest you download the easytether driver for openwrt here http://www.mobile-stream.com/easy...ivers.ht
That's why you need to do more research and make sure easytether has driver for the cpu. You can buy routers from other brands with openwrt firmware support and cpu with easytether driver.
If you don't want to do research, just buy routers that are confirmed working with easytether, such as gl.inet ar750s.
Thanks for letting me. Specs looked really good but it's too bad it doesn't have a support for EasyTether.

It shows your monthly bill after savings is $10 + $8.34 - $5 = $13.34 plus tax and fees. So you are paying $8.34 a month for the tablet. In other words, it is not free for you.
