They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I will call this week to deal with account/log in issues .. & also gotta call back in regards to Possible LEO/1ST Responder Discount they offered me and never got back to me from India or Pakistan or wherever their call center was..
I am able to access both of my business accounts with the app....
So you keep the plan and just return the tablet?
As is usual with their customer service, if you get someone who can't/won't just email you the label then hang up, call back, and get someone else who knows what to do.
It just says my bill is processing and chekc back in 5 days, I have been checking it almost daily to see if my $5 autopay is getting applied or not.

I do not have a LTE tablet yet. I have one at home with a somewhat busted screen that for sure works for AT&T... but probably it is still locked to AT&T, or won't be compatible with T-Mo.
How are people getting on with the IMEI / device stuff? Do you just tell them you will buy one online if yours doesn't work, or what? Trying to get all the steps together to make this as painless as possible
edit: I'm trying to follow this thread, but I'm getting pretty confused on whether I'd want the TI or TE plan. I also am unsure if I should get the tablet. I know an early post basically seemed to say that Tmo may change the terms at any time, so maybe it's not smart to lock in for 2 yrs for the tablet... thoughts, please? I'm a simple man, and trying to understand this all

Also, grab the TI plan unless you're getting the free tablet, which requires the TE plan.
There's no autopay discount on this plan, but you CAN call and request a free HD pass to be placed on each line!

I also hadn't considered getting multiple lines. It might really be worth doing for my parents or something. I just wish the TMo network would get better in my area, but I guess it will over time anyway

I feel like burdened/locked for 2 years like I feel scared putting the SIM in other device cause I am afraid they will cancel my plan and i would need to pay all remaining $200 for tablet. I like the tablet but not at $200, it is way slower and clunky than my amazon fire HD 10 which i bought for like $99 on sale on Amazon. WiFi version of A7 Tablet is in Amazon at $129 (not cellular). I like the tablet on other hand cause I am keeping it for emergency, like Hurricane struck our area last year and i can text my sister with this tablet, navigation, etc. For $10/month it is decent value for me, you need to run numbers if it is worth it for you.
I saw TE plan has like $1.50/month/line fee and sales tax so atleast $2.50/month savings on TI plan. But can't seem to order tablet for free online with TI plan, need to get TE plan when ordering

Good to know, thank you!

Rounding numbers just for the sake of simplicity, assuming your taxes/fees comes out to $2/month ... that's an extra $24/year you would be paying for however long you keep the plan. You'd have to decide if you value "free" tablet more than paying the extra $24/year forever when going with the TE plan (vs tax included plan and no tablet).
