Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Nice! Do you have data roaming turned on? Or do you have Data roaming turned off so that A7 can connect to the free T-mobile 2G network?
Yes - for Tmo to work overseas on any device roaming needs to be on, since there's no such thing as a Tmo tower overseas.

Then do you get charged for roaming when you this tablet overseas? Or can you just choose to stay on the free 2G network?

I believe so but best to check out the forums to confirm with the specific router you have in mind.

As long as there's an option to select "4G/LTE" for the WAN, it will use the RNDIS driver to connect through USB to get the internet connection to the hotspot/device.
Will 5G work with this router or is capped to 4G?

So if you take this tablet or SIM card overseas, only 2G will work and will not get charged for 4G/ network that may a data roaming agreement with T-mobile?

T-mobile doesn't have any roaming agreement with oversea carriers? If they do, doesn't the tablet automatically connect if the setting has data roaming turned on?

For 10 bucks ain't no high speed LTE roaming bru u gotta pay up for that.. all carriers do but high speed roaming ain't cheap. And carriers keep that for premium plans..

Of course, everyone knows LTE roaming is expensive. That was not my question.

Try to understand the question first before giving a random answer. Does the tablet automatically connect to the roaming network when you are overseas that requires you to pay if the data is 4G speed instead of 2G? Is there a way to just stick with 2G so that can just use it to check emails?

First of all, speed test should be done as directly connected as possible. WIfi and longer distance common was capped and not very fast.

Everyone knows you need a T-Mobile cell. See cellmapper.com. Once you get to where you can select your cell for T-Mobile; if it's a good one there will be a top most cell report for you.

If you trick the system onto 5G speeds they will not let you keep those speeds with this plan! I know, I know. It's not my fault.

Most folks will get 7mbs (until throttling you and that is NOT just priority!) average; *if* good reception and WHERE T-mobile has a good cell.

And as stated this is about 1.5mbs for streaming. And you will not trick around that for long.

Wireless is never going to beat the capabilities of cable and fiber is 100X more potential than cable.

They have oversold the wireless capacity; with no hope even 6G can fix this. Why? Because they can. Follow the money.

This is why any data plan over wireless better be because you need mobility. And I know it's not right, My whole message. wired and wireless play us all.

Fiber is the closest thing you're going to see toward no restrictions; and now it's capped too.

I'm telling ya. Until republicans and democrats (people not congress) get together and most all us us demand relief then it will get worse.

Everyone needs fiber today. Wireless for mobile only. We have to break the monopoly. Wired is too much; just for that last mile of fiber, or cell towers for what they actually allow. We are screwed! Currently.

You may not have figured it out yet or want to believe it; but with Internet you are a beggar.

1. You think assertive irateness with solve you issue? You will get less.

2. You think cancelling will get you any refund? It will not.

3. You think years of payment will help your case? It will not.

4. You think a lawyer will take your case, or Mastercard, or a letter from your lawyer? Nope.

5. You think alerting the media will stop the BS? Noper.

Yes you do not know it. You do not agree; but you are a beggar.

And sooner or later you have to join the cue for what you bought. And if you don't; then you did not get what you paid for and you let them have it. And no; there is no real competition to turn to next. So when you beg and say please, please just fix it then remember; you were warned.

And you can all kiss it for fussing about having to scroll down. Poor babies. You read it by choice; and you may skip it and ignore my warning.
Executive Summary please
