The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

And to answer someone else's question which has gotten answered numerous times already, you get unlimited 2G overseas for free. My particular older plan actually gets 3G unlimited for free, which is pretty useful for maps and browsing. If you want faster you can buy a $5 day pass, but you're better off getting a local SIM at that point.
For my situation, depending on time of the day, network capacity etc., the TMOHS1 is giving me max 80-90Mbps down and 4-40Mbps up.
Unfortunately, I don't have any 5G devices so am unable to give you a definitive answer.
I'm still testing out the data plan and trying to push limits. Unfortunately, the T-Mobile business website is a joke. It's like no one really cares about it; half the time, I can't get the data usage page to fully load. Similar to others, I can't get the non-business site to work, and I think it's because I am using a business EIN instead of a personal SSN. On the non-business T-Mobile site, I can get through the login page until it asks me to verify my SSN, and neither my personal SSN works nor my business EIN.
Anyhow, a few pieces of new information while testing this T-Mobile Magenta TI plan while traveling.
- the last time I was successfully able to check, I had passed 15GB of data usage, most of which has been on my Verizon Inseego M2100 (some via wifi but most data tethered via USB to my Mango router). My hotel wifi has not been great, but I also didn't want to trust hotel wifi (and Surfshark VPN via my Mango router slowed my hotel wifi bandwidth down to about 2mbps down and almost nothing on the upload side). So, I'm past the 10GB hotspot limit, and my speed has not yet been throttled for the month.
- T-Mobile has been consistently better than Verizon while in Maui. I'm surprised, actually.
- While in Wailea (south-east portion of Maui), my Verizon Inseego M2100 showed the strongest T-Mobile 5G signal yet with 4-5 bars. I was able to pull 128 mbps down / 33 mbps up while on my iPhone 11 connected to the Inseego via wifi. Another SD user reported that the Verizon Inseego M2100 is lacking the proper T-Mobile 5G band to pull the fastest speeds. Nonetheless, I'm impressed with 100+mbps download speeds.
Cheers
Yes, maybe because I set up the business account with my SSN instead of EIN as user owl mentioned earlier.

T-Mobile account executive set me up remotely, sent me SIMs, and also sent me the free (24 months of bill credits, so you only pay for tax) Samsung Galaxy Tax A7 Slim cellular tablets.
All I had to do was just complete the online orders and DocuSign via email links he sent me.
I can share his contact info via DM if anyone is interested.
Was able to picked the tablet with magenta business tablet plan...
I already knew that most of people don't get credit for this TI plan, but today due is $135 (96 for tablet, $20 for Sim and some for tax).....
And also says my monthly bill should be $9.34 after $5 auto pay...of course I know this won't happen.
My question is should I still go ahead and order it and return the tablet later if it is not free or how do I just order Sim with plan only?
Thanks in advanced
TI worked for me.
