Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I have sprint with sprint global (free 2G roaming) and have got LTE in Europe but it's throttled to 2G speeds circa less than 1 MB signal was full bar. So just cuz you get LTE doesn't mean high speeds.. also for can mex perhaps its better speeds due to CONUS roaming agreements

Correct - you should connect to the 4G LTE network overseas, but you're throttled on the back end to 2G (depending on the phone). Note that my Sprint phone 2G is nearly useless (on an A32) but my Tmo 2G is reasonably useful. Despite what I said above, and what should work, in Paris right now my Sprint phone is connecting to 3G towers only but my Tmo is connecting to 4G and throttling (even though my A32 has the necessary bands). Sprint sucks, although it won't exist much longer anyways.

And to answer someone else's question which has gotten answered numerous times already, you get unlimited 2G overseas for free. My particular older plan actually gets 3G unlimited for free, which is pretty useful for maps and browsing. If you want faster you can buy a $5 day pass, but you're better off getting a local SIM at that point.

Hey, is the TMOHS1 same as Franklin T9 ??
Not the same. It's the latest hotspot that T-Mobile is offering through the Test Drive program.

I guess it depends on the USB port on the router. If the USB tether is connected to a USB 3.0 port, it should be able to handle 5G speeds.

For my situation, depending on time of the day, network capacity etc., the TMOHS1 is giving me max 80-90Mbps down and 4-40Mbps up.

Unfortunately, I don't have any 5G devices so am unable to give you a definitive answer.
fbueller is in France, and I get to enjoy being in Maui for vacation. It's a blessing; not trying to brag.

I'm still testing out the data plan and trying to push limits. Unfortunately, the T-Mobile business website is a joke. It's like no one really cares about it; half the time, I can't get the data usage page to fully load. Similar to others, I can't get the non-business site to work, and I think it's because I am using a business EIN instead of a personal SSN. On the non-business T-Mobile site, I can get through the login page until it asks me to verify my SSN, and neither my personal SSN works nor my business EIN.

Anyhow, a few pieces of new information while testing this T-Mobile Magenta TI plan while traveling.
- the last time I was successfully able to check, I had passed 15GB of data usage, most of which has been on my Verizon Inseego M2100 (some via wifi but most data tethered via USB to my Mango router). My hotel wifi has not been great, but I also didn't want to trust hotel wifi (and Surfshark VPN via my Mango router slowed my hotel wifi bandwidth down to about 2mbps down and almost nothing on the upload side). So, I'm past the 10GB hotspot limit, and my speed has not yet been throttled for the month.
- T-Mobile has been consistently better than Verizon while in Maui. I'm surprised, actually.
- While in Wailea (south-east portion of Maui), my Verizon Inseego M2100 showed the strongest T-Mobile 5G signal yet with 4-5 bars. I was able to pull 128 mbps down / 33 mbps up while on my iPhone 11 connected to the Inseego via wifi. Another SD user reported that the Verizon Inseego M2100 is lacking the proper T-Mobile 5G band to pull the fastest speeds. Nonetheless, I'm impressed with 100+mbps download speeds.

Cheers

So, essentially, you used the phone number assigned to the Business line to create an Account ID on the non-business website ?

Yes, maybe because I set up the business account with my SSN instead of EIN as user owl mentioned earlier.

I m getting $13.84 per month ater $5 auto pay discount. Shouldnt it be $10 per month
It'll be $18.84/month. (There's no autopay discount on these plans.) If you want the free tablet, nake sure you are on the TE version of this plan, not the TI version.

And how to do you select TE version of the plan while ordering online?

Business Unlimited Tablet 10GB HS TE is the Tax Exclusive plan. But right now neither plan is showing the tablet credits at checkout. Product page still mentions the free tablet. I was having the same issue yesterday, no tablet credits shown at checkout, so I just ordered the tax Inclusive plan (Magenta Promo). I don't really want that tablet, just wanted the plan. I'll return tablet if I don't get the monthly credit.

It's the $10 one at the bottom without the word "Promo" in the title.

Probably that's the issue. I am still seeing the plan online. May try at the store later.

I got the same message about going to the store after the "congratulations , you are approved" page. I went back to the cart and checked out, I had missed the entry in the drop down where it asks about " transfer number" , or "let TMobile assign one", etc. Once I selected that it went through.
Thanks, I will give it a try. But why should it need to transfer the number for a data only package???

I've been told that $10 Unlimited Tablet Line promo for business is ending on 4/15. (Some on Reddit said there's no end date posted yet.)

T-Mobile account executive set me up remotely, sent me SIMs, and also sent me the free (24 months of bill credits, so you only pay for tax) Samsung Galaxy Tax A7 Slim cellular tablets.

All I had to do was just complete the online orders and DocuSign via email links he sent me.

I can share his contact info via DM if anyone is interested.
Do you know whether it was the TI (tax inclusive) or TE (tax exclusive) plan the executive set you up with for the free Samsung tablet ?

I am guessing the page is generic to take voice lines into account as well. Once I selected "Let T-mobile choose or assign" , there was another place for my choice of area code.

So I finally got in....
Was able to picked the tablet with magenta business tablet plan...
I already knew that most of people don't get credit for this TI plan, but today due is $135 (96 for tablet, $20 for Sim and some for tax).....
And also says my monthly bill should be $9.34 after $5 auto pay...of course I know this won't happen.
My question is should I still go ahead and order it and return the tablet later if it is not free or how do I just order Sim with plan only?

Thanks in advanced

TI worked for me.
