They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

"As far as the HD pass goes, I can provide some more information about that. Since that plan you're on is so highly discounted, it is not eligible for the free HD pass. There was a error going on that was allowing the pass to be added to plans that don't qualify. The system caught that error, removing the pass from any un-eligible plans and we are no longer able to add that pass to in-eligible plans.
You can absolutely activate HD passes on that plan! That plan just doesn't include the free HD pass. You can upgrade your plan to Unlimited Plus to have HD included or we also have $3 24-hour HD passes.

When I heard that, I just thanked them and called back and got lucky enough to find a rep who knew what he was doing. For what it's worth, every rep I talked to seemed to be overseas, so clear communication was always quite a challenge.

I tried adding the requested features to the account, yet I was unable to do so and here's why. I have determined that account is under Magenta Bus Tab 10GB Promo. With this, please note that HDPASS0 can only be added to accounts under ONE Plus or ONE Plan w/ ONE Plus.

Are you talking about T-Mobile S7 50% offer? T-Mobile representative told me that it doesn't work $10 data plan. You may want to double check
