The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:
1. T-Mobile Gateway + Cudy N300 or X6 which are wifi only routers to mask hotspot usage with TTL set on the external wifi router. You can use other wifi routers for this purpose but there's a menu page in the Cudy routers which makes setting TTL easy - Courtesy waterchange
1.1 Cudy router like Cudy LT500 or LT18 or the 5G P8 work as a single device with modem + wifi router. Work well for home internet. Nice thing about the Cudy modems is easy TTL (and imei magic if necessary). - Courtesy waterchange
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed.
7. M2000 won't pull data from anywhere.
8. GL.iNET Spitz GL-X3000NR easier to use than Cudy and better performance but expensive. Great form factor and performance. Presets for T-Mobile TTL settings and advanced cell features like tower/band lock. External antennas.
9. M3000B works out of the box with T-Mobile version. Has battery preservation features and ethernet port. Some users say to switch 5G mode to NSA if the hotspot restarts frequently in your area.
Add/update if you have more/better info.

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I have an EIN but the TMO business website would not allow me to click the EIN credit check box when trying to do this online. So I called the TMO business line. Was passed around to seven different reps - none of which asked me for any information, just kept saying "let me get you to our business department" - which is what I called to begin with. In the end, still without ever being asked for any verifying information, I was told I needed to go in person to a TMO store to set up a new business line and have the EIN information verified.
I am not a fan of going to a retail location but the process was straightforward and went smoothly.
I set up the account, got the tablet and the $10 TI promo plan. I asked to get the HD pass added and they agreed but said it would take a few days to go through. Yes, I paid the $30 assistance fee, which I guess would have happened if I had been able to set this up by phone. In my case it was worth it to get everything set up properly.
TBH - even WITHOUT the HD Pass, this plan is STILL a fine deal!
Thank you all for the great info,
Just got the shipping info with the phone# assigned.
Hope tablet comes too
I used my laptop in the past few days and I can't even create an account despite passing the credit check and got approved for an x amount of lines.
What turns out to be the problem was the incognito browser I used plus a few things I did, shrug.
T-Mobile Franklin T9: Category 4 Modem with 2x2 antennas (max 150mbps download, 50mbps upload / connecting to one band at a time)

I have been trying that on my laptop for the past few days and my account still can't be created. Funny thing is I passed credit check and t-mobile claimed that I am approved of X amount of lines.
I was able to order successfully.
turns out probably it has to do with a number of things, Like not using an incognito browser, a different email account and phone number.

What is the issue you can't finish the order after you passed the credit check?
You can add tablet and plan before you pass credit check. Once you passed credit check, you can click on cart to bypass some procedure to check out.

Did you have to get voice line too?

I opened and placed my Business Account Order Mar 21, 2022 . It was not until yesterday (4-6-22) that I was finally Successful in creating a Business TMO ID account online. I was also on the phone with a TMO Cust Service Rep... as I did not and never received my Account # nor did I know the phone # that were attached to my 2 sim cards that were sent overnight to me the day I opened my new Business TMO account on the phone. This rep I was on the phone with yesterday was able to access my account after i provided him with both SIM Card #s. He then gave me my new Business Account # along with both phone #s attached to both SIM Cards. I used the 1st SIM Phone # to create the online TMO Id. log in and once in I was able to see the 2nd line as well.
I was NOT able to create a business account from my Tablet using the SIM Card that was sent or from my phone browser. I was able to create the account from my home desktop computer on a Chrome Browser. I used the 1st Phone # off the 1st SIM .. Created a PW and was able to finally able to log in see my Business Name and account details. It was no walk in the park. Lots of glitches and online errors and I think its on the TMO website honestly. Anyways.. I would suggest to you or anyone trying to create a T-Mo ID to access your new Business Account to try several desktop browsers and you might also have better luck like me. Also the rep I was on the phone at the time with was able to enter my Company AMEX Credit Card for me onto my account for Autopay. I did not use the 2nd SIM card yet nor installed it in any device but the rep was able to activate it for me and told me it should work instantly in the device I place it in when I do.
I have used this SIM in one on my Tablets/Laptop and at my house I have full steady 5 bars and no disconnects. I was near the court house attempting to access a Zoom Hearing and every 20 - 30 seconds I was getting disconnected and lost internet service and you could see the t mobile attempting to re-connect .I finally gave up and needed to log into Zoom from my cell phone. to speak with the Judge and State Attorney about a defendant... this on and off connection continuously occurred at 2 different locations when i was out on the road. I will need to keep checking locations and how my internet service is as this is why I got these to begin with... I have great internet at home and was able to access Zoom from my house.. I have a Tmobile 5G Pole / Antenna on the corner of my house about 75 feet away... I need that same strong home signal when I am on the road also, otherwise these cards are useless for me.
From my house with the TMO SIM on my 1st google speed test I am getting 41.5 mbps DOWN and 19.6 mbps UP / 2nd test = 45.4 mbps DOWN and 25.7 mbps UP ...
3rd test i used SPEEDTEST.com and got 48.66 DOWN and 26.83 UP.
I did not.
The store rep did initially say that the promo I wanted expired 3/31 so a voice line was necessary. I pointed out that the deal is still available online without requiring a separate voice line and the manager confirmed this. After that the transaction went smoothly.

Adding that while I did pay the $30 support fee, there was no charge for the SIM card. When I was trying to do this transaction online, there would have been a $20 fee for the SIM card so really only an extra $10 to get the transaction done in store.
This is good to know. A friend will be going the same TMO store that I used to get two lines. Worth asking for both or even one $30 fee to be credited back.
