Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

How much did he charge you? He replied to all my questions but ignored the money question 3 times.
For what you need the cost would be $150

You CANNOT set up a new business account online.
It will give you the dreaded ZERO accounts approved.
Also, it will be a HARD PULL on your personal credit as you have to use your SSN vs. EIN.

Go into the store with your IRS letter showing your EIN number.
They will take a photo of that and your driver's license.
The credit is pulled on the EIN and not your SSN.

I know because I tried the online way 2 weekends ago.
Got the ZERO accounts message and could not check out.
Called TMo business on the next Monday.
They told me that I had to go into a physical store with my EIN letter.
I took the letter into a physical store that day, and they never asked for my SSN.
My business account was set up, I got my SIM card, and my tablet was UPS to me (2nd day).

NOTE: You may be able to set up an account via Facebook or Twitter. I know that you cannot online or by calling TMo Business....well, the TMo Business call center refused me, so YMMV.
That's false.
Many, including me signed this up online

Thanks for the advice. Finally went to the store today.Rep helped me set the business account. Got the tablet in store but the hard part is getting them to add the $10 plan. Took them almost an 1 hr to figured it out how to add the plan.

NOTE: My experience with the Franklin T9 was exactly like fbueller.
Inserting the tablet SIM got 4 bars, but NO INTERNET even with the TTL changed to 64.

I had to change the IMEI of Franklin T9. Then it worked fine.
That said, it is risky as they can blacklist your SIM if you change the IMEI (per reports). They have other ways of knowing it does not match the device.

The TMOHS1 is the safest. Just get one via the Test Drive for free (if you qualify).
Follow the steps outlined in this thread to use the Python script to remove the updates, change the TTL, and reflect the usage as device vs. hotspot.
Why would they blacklist your SIM if you change the IMEI (eg. device)? How do they knoow that it does not match the device?

Wish I understood this better myself. What happens when this tablet dies (especially if before the end of the 2 years)... you have to Get a new device again from T-Mobile, And only that device You can use with this plan,,That they again pair with your sim?

M2000 doesn't provide material benefit over a 5G smartphone to warrant such a cost. Its reception is probably worse than a regular 5G phone. To me, a $300 (all-in cost) hotspot is only worth it if it supports external antenna, which is not possible with smartphones.

Absolutely..... To each his own....

Each individual has to find the right solution for their application. That will as you stated include consideration for costs and useage needs. For me, I am actually pulling over 700mbps down on my modded m2000 and use one to provide internet via an Asus router to a whole household for $10/ mo. As well, for me, my cost for my locally sourced m2000 was only $55.

I was not able to sign up online. Filled out the application and got confirmation that someone will looking into it within 24hrs. Did not receive anything for over 10 days. Called in and was told to go into the store. Went into the store and spent 2hrs to get it activated . Rep in store had everything set up but could not find the plan from the tablet. She called in and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. He input everything on his end and she just scanned the SIM card and its done.

M2000 for $55? That was a bargain. My local area has it from $200-300. When you said modded, what did you do with it? I am looking to do what you do. Can you elaborate more?

Anyone have a list of recommended routers that can USB tether from an Android phone and mask/change TTL to 65?

You can put the SIM in any tablet or phone that accepts a SIM, and it will work. So the SIM is not locked to your A7 Lite tablet.

You just cannot put it in certain hotspot devices. I think the TMOHS1 works without modding, but it will use data from your 10GB. You have to run the script if you want it to pull from your unlimited side.

The T9 does not work without changing the IMEI to a tablet or phone. It is identified on their system as a hotspot device and won't connect.

Didn't work for me or many others.
Either our credit is crap or they changed something.

Online does not allow you to enter an EIN, just a SSN, so I don't know how your account was created. the EIN was grayed out and not selectable. YMMV I guess.

Tmobile business sales drove me crazy with all the unexperienced people. Not sure what happened to Tmobile ? I provided them everything... EIN registration; Articles of Corporation ;recent invoice...they are saying Articles of Corporation needs to be dated within 90 days for a company established 13yrs ago... Even their supervisor was hopeless; tried T-Force through facebook but no go; as they said they can't help business accounts...gave up after spending 2 days on it.
