Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Lol, More people Have been able to set up account online and order than NOT. Many of us don't want to run to a store and have to provide a bunch of documentation, nor spend that amount of time for a $10 tablet line or 2.

I have TMO consumer account, so wife set up this account with her SSN. Approved for 12 lines while setting up account online and ordering 2 tablets/lines. Quick chat with T-Force and plan was changed to TI tax included. Much easier route in the end.

As you noted, your wife was able to do this online using her SSN, not an EIN number.
Those trying to set up a business account using an EIN are not able to do this online. If using SSN is an alternative for someone (one that is not already in the TMO system under a consumer account), then it should work online.

I used my SSN end of April (and so did the prior poster recently) and it did not work.
We both got "Congrats! You have been approved for ZERO lines." message.

The EIN option was grayed out, so I had to use my SSN online. I don't have a consumer line with TMO.

Again, maybe our credit score was too low, so it failed? Mine is 750+.

I had zero issues setting up the business account in store. They took photos with their tablet of my EIN IRS letter (other business "ID" like mail and utilities bill is available per TMO), but they never ran a credit check on my personal SSN, so IDK.
My business is 2 years old and only had one tax return and no credit accounts opened. Therefore, I cannot imagine the business credit score being better than my personal.

Just wanted to add another data point. I was able to create a business account in store with an EIN without much issue, though they had me on the TE plan. I was able to change it to TI as well as transfer to an eSIM on a iPhone via Twitter. I do NOT have voice on the eSIM but can get text messages. I also figured out that HDVPASS0 can only be added to TI, not TE.

Is there a separate code for 4K. I do have HD pass added for my account.

It's a sarcastic comment to one who believe there is voice line on this plan if we are on iphone esim.

Lol, I thought maybe there is another code to remove the limit completely. After I disabled StreamSaver on my AT&T tablet plan, I get full speeds and can stream 4K no issues. Which doesn't work as well with this TI plan.

To get Voice on eSIM, it must be secondary.

Sounds as if my experience was similar although I do have a TMO consumer account so never tried to use SSN online. I got the same grayed out EIN option so ended up signing up instore without any issues.
I know a lot of posters lamenting the in store process but mine was pretty easy.

Tmobile business sales drove me crazy with all the unexperienced people. Not sure what happened to Tmobile ? I provided them everything... EIN registration; Articles of Corporation ;recent invoice...they are saying Articles of Corporation needs to be dated within 90 days for a company established 13yrs ago... Even their supervisor was hopeless; tried T-Force through facebook but no go; as they said they can't help business accounts...gave up after spending 2 days on it.

The company went to shit as soon as John Legere left as CEO. But that happens with every corporation that was run right. The replacement destroys the company.

I would guess it was luck. It would also be good to know if it has been tested recently. He may have done it early on enough where they allowed it but once more people started switching to eSIM, they probably were more strict in blocking voice. It would be nice to know the following variables:

Had consumer side account prior (Y/N):
Set up account with EIN or SSN:
TI or TE:
HDVPASS0 added (Y/N):
Method of switching to eSIM (phone, Twitter, FB):
