Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Works like a charm! Flashed my m2000 about 3 weeks ago.... All data is reporting as on device data, not hotspot. Cloned my iemi too. USB tethered to my Asus router. Pulling 700mbps down and about 50mbps up.....

But don't you think they can zap it at any time? I want to do this but also having trouble with the outlay and no guarantee of how long it will work for.

Well that is a personal decision.... Considering my iemi has been cloned, reporting as a 5g tablet and all data reports as device data there is really no "flags" tmobile can see.

c0d3917, did he flash Tmobile FW on the M2000 or other service providers like AT&T or Verizon?

We tried the VZ FW.... Everything was off, speeds were around 120mbps max, jitter was just terrible as well. Flashed back to the stock tmobile FW and stuck with that. No need to flash the FW, he has just reverse engineered the stock tmobile FW to unlock read/write access, unlock the kernel access and clone iemi.

I gave up and tried with my GIinet mango, and it plays nice with Easy Tether. Works great!
That's my setup - did you change the TTL though in the firewall rules? I get a disconnect or two every day using that.

I installed the easy tether driver to the mango, then you can tether via the app. There is a guide that I used: https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/2/app/tether/

I've done all that - but some people recommend changing the TTL by adding firewall rules.

Just wanted to add another data point. I was able to create a business account in store with an EIN without much issue, though they had me on the TE plan. I was able to change it to TI as well as transfer to an eSIM on a iPhone via Twitter. I do NOT have voice on the eSIM but can get text messages. I also figured out that HDVPASS0 can only be added to TI, not TE.
can you use the phone as hotspot?

Yes, it can hotspot but that comes out of the 10gb hotspot allotment.

Have you seen random internet drop using easytether with Gl.Inet router?
Usually when the internet drop happens every few hours, the internet will become intermittently or straight unusable. Only fix is to unplug and replug the usb cable to the router and it works immediately.
I guess it is related to DNS. The random internet drop happens more frequently if I am using some remote server/sync stuff.

WOW, what was your d/l and u/l speeds if your sim card was in a 5g phone or 4g tablet at your location?

Which easytether driver did you use? OpenWrt 19.07.3+? Or the LEDE one?
