Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

WOW, what was your d/l and u/l speeds if your sim card was in a 5g phone or 4g tablet at your location?

This is my current d/l & u/l speeds on 5g with the sim in my modded m2000.

Which easytether driver did you use? OpenWrt 19.07.3+? Or the LEDE one?

Depends on what device you are using and the chipset. I used LEDE for mine. Also has to be latest (3.0 branch I think) version of firmware.

LEDE 17.01?
Then I guess the lede driver is better than the openwrt 19.07.3+ driver.

What firmware are you on?
The instructions states "For firmware v3.201 and newer please use OpenWrt 19.07".

If I recall, there was only 1 LEDE version available? I am not near the router now but can let you know later. The website was helpful. What actual chipset you have will determine the driver, so it depends what specific Mango you have.

Have you seen random internet drop using easytether with Gl.Inet router?
Usually when the internet drop happens every few hours, the internet will become intermittently or straight unusable. Only fix is to unplug and replug the usb cable to the router and it works immediately.
I guess it is related to DNS. The random internet drop happens more frequently if I am using some remote server/sync stuff.

Interesting observation. Can't say I've used it enough to see that. I will use it more heavily in the coming weeks, so we will find out.

Why not make a YT video? Ppl really curious about it, but that $150 fee may be a hard pass for them(me). Checked that rich hathaway's video. His signal is trash, around 11.6mbps

I used on my OG Mango with beta 3.2 FW the easytether-usb-openssl_0.8.9-4_mipsel_24kc driver.

Is the easytether-usb-openssl_0.8.9-4_mipsel_24kc driver from the easytether-usb-openssl_0.8.9-4_lede-17.01.6.zip/17.01.6/ramips/mt7628
or
easytether-usb-openssl_0.8.9-4_openwrt-18.06.2.zip/18.06.2/ramips/mt76x8?

I'm probably late for this but here goes anyway.

When I select Galaxy Tab A7 Lite online and add Magenta Business Tablet 10GB Promo it shows Due Today $20.00, monthly $18.34 ($10 for line and $8.34 for device payment).
But then on the right side it shows monthly payment $5.01 after discounts ($5 auto pay discount and $8.33 Promo code T941).

Is this the original deal or is this something else?

Do I understand correctly that this is $5 + tax monthly payment but locked in for 2 years? Is it possible to return the device or do I have to keep it? I have no use for it.

That is the correct deal but the autopay discount doesn't actually end up getting applied per multiple reports in the thread.

If you return the tablet, they will charge you a restocking fee even if you haven't opened it from what I have heard. If you don't want the tablet, you'd have to set up the line in person or over the phone. I was able to set mine up at the store in person without getting the tablet.

You also will want to make sure they get you on the TI plan, not TE.

There's no restocking fee when returned the sealed/new tablet.
I returned mine and got a full refund

You don't need to buy a device.
