Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Already did all that and nothing worked. But somehow got data on the phones today (about 20 hrs after sign up).

UPDATE: Since I got my line working, called them to add a second line and rep offered the Galaxy Tab A7 tablet for free (after 24 month credit). Told them I'll check the site to see if I want it, and call back - now I see a Chromebook 511 is free (after 24 month credit) and that cost $400 (vs $200 for A7) so a better value if you don't mind paying tax. Anyone get that?
Are you seeing the free Chromebook 511 on the consumer site and not the business site (tfb.t-mobile.com)?

It showed up when I logged into my online business account and shopped for 'tablets'

Decided to forgo it and just get the cheap tablet since I'm not a chromebook fan and figured I'd never use it. I'd probably rarely use the tablet as well but figured if I ever need to contact them, it'll be better to have the SIM in a tablet instead of a phone.

Doubt you can online Checkout the free 511 with just a tablet line.

Did you get Inseego 2000 or 2100? 2000 supports Tmobile, 2100 supports Verizon officially, that's what I understand. If I get 2100, do I need to make sure it's unlocked or it usually comes unlocked any way
Search the thread for "Inseego 2100" and/or "Inseego 2000" - I posted speedtest results from San Francisco using the Inseego 8800L (LTE) and Inseego 2100 (5G). I did not pay to get my test unit Inseego 2000 to work with this T-Mobile sim, so I returned my 2000.

The Inseego 2100 (most if not all are factory unlocked) is around $150-200 on eBay, and the Inseego 2000 is about $100-125 on eBay. Loading a custom firmware that masks the IMEI (with the possibility to unlock the hotspot) is quoted to be $150. Since I use both Verizon and T-Mobile, it was an easy choice for me to keep my Inseego 2100.

Unlike a 2000 with custom FW, hotspot on your 2100 will dramatically slow after 10GB of use within a Cycle ?

Anybody has A7 and iPad? If I add A7 line, I suppose I can put it into iPad and still get credits (ie pay extra $10/line but get spare tablet).
T-Mobile site shows me a7 for $5 after after pay but no way to checkout with business account…

You don't have to actually use the A7 to continue getting the promotional credits. So yes, you can put the tablet SIM in your iPad or whatever device you want.

Yes, correct. That's the trade off, but since I am not replacing home internet, that's okay for my use case.

However, I did USB tethered my Inseego 2100 to a Mango router on vacation and got 35GB+ without any throttling within a one week timespan. So, just can't go over 10GB in hotspot only but can go over 10GB when tethered via USB.

Was your M2100 already flashed?

My Inseego M2100 uses the standard Verizon firmware. Both of my Verizon and T-Mobile SIM cards get 5G signals. But with T-Mobile, I presume I am not getting max 5G speeds since the optimal T-Mobile bands may not be turned on for my device.

then, it make sense to get M2000 w. flashed FW if we have TMO business plan only.
Any trustworthy site from where it can be bought?

Will it not use hotspot data if you use your phone's default USB Tether option, or do you need to use a specific USB Tether app to not trigger hotspot usage?
