Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Internet speed priority, static IP, and a better router. I'm suspending home internet and just going to use the business plan for internet
How much better is the priority ?
From searching, doesn't seem like you get a static IP on the $50 plan.

"Business Internet customers may notice speeds lower than other customers due to data prioritization."

Different reports on reddit on speed. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. Rep at the store told me Static IP was included. Even if it's not, the availability is nice and I'll likely pay for it. Either way, the better gateway and options of better routers is worth it for me. That, and direct access to an account manager to your profile.

Was anyone else forced to pay an activation fee?

Has anyone else had major issues with upload speed? I can get 100+ Mbps down - but a fraction of 1 Mbps up.

I've tested the sim in the 4G gateway and an Arcadyan KVD21. 4G gateway is showing on device data while the KVD21 was using hotspot data. I hooked the KVD21 to a router and mangled ttl/hl and was getting 400-500 mbps on device data. The 4G gateway I was getting 75-125mpbs. Considering people are rooting TMOHS1's just to mod the ttl to mask hotspot data it's a good option if you want to plug and play for $50.
EDIT: Just went back to the tower with my TMOHS1 and was getting 20-50mbps and same results as before from the gateways. So I'm definitely seeing the benefit of the Cat12 vs the Cat4 TMOHS1.

Can you please share your TTL/HL setting ? I have KVD21 with Gl-inet router and it is still showing as HOTSPOT usage. Below are my settings:-

# Start-IP6-TTL-Fix
ip6tables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o wwan0 -j HL --hl-set 65
# End-IP6-TTL-Fix

# Start-IP4-TTL-Fix
iptables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o wwan0 -j TTL --ttl-set 64
# End-IP4-TTL-Fix
