Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I was up all night tried to figured out why asus router wouldnt detect m2100 and it seems like i needed to flash merlin firmware to it to make it work. Anyway, i went and bought mango's little brother GL.iNet GL-AR300M16 since i read it that the brother has faster chip ? Also ran into issues where GLInet router was giving half speed. Reset the router couple more times and i am now getting 80mb down, 9mb up. my setup is m2100 to GLinet router to asus router since asus router has better wifi signals.

Cheers
To confirm - the GL.iNET AR300 is the device masking the TTL to make it appear as on device usage, right? Can you also change the IMEI on the router to make it look like a iPad/tablet? or is it just masking the TTL? thanks!

The device you used to modify IMEI is not supposed to connect to Tmobile any time any way any how. Otherwise, Tmobile will locked it.

Since he flashed, I could not use with Asus router at all. He flashed again with Verizon M2100, did not work either with that router. However, that Verizon FW has very slow internet on M2000. Few days ago, I begged him to put back the Tmobile FW he flashed previously, and still waiting for his response,

c0d3917 member here who has been helped me a lot but still could not get it worked with Asus router. I am so worn out of this thingy.

not really sure about the masking part. this is my first time using GL inet router and im actually having some issues with it since last post. MYq android app wont connect. one the games that i play daily wont connect to game server either. Im beginning to wonder the unit i have has quality issue. So i went ahead and ordered mango one and opal one for further testing.

Just FYI that my m2100 is showing up as blackberry 6210 on tmobile.com

Isn't it way better to NOT use these modded hotspots vs using any base hotspot and then hookup to a openwrt capable cheap Routers like Gli net ones where you can easily do TTL change.

Does anyone have instructions for connecting the TMOHS1 to an Asus TM-AC1900 to pull native data?

That was I have been here. But I thought just for better speeds, went with M2000 flashed. No good or I just one of unlucky one out there? LOL

I may later try the Tmost1 or franklin9 to see.

Glad you found a setup that works, even though it's got an extra router in there. Now that you mention it, I get faster speeds (maybe double like you are seeing) when pulling data directly from the M2100 via Wi-Fi instead of via the Mango tethered to the M2100. I should check this out in the future.

The same issue was with me, and I got a new brand new sim and transferred the line to the new one, which has been working flawlessly for over a month now. Try it, and I am confident it will also work for you.

Mine's been working good so far. I connected the M2000 to a desktop a few weeks ago and have been using it as a backup to access the internet. However, I see that my speeds today are definitely slower than previous. 79.80 up and 3.46 down. About 1/3 of previous speeds.

I know nothing of connecting the TMOHS1 to an external router. But if you apply the root/hack for that hotspot, it pulls native data in case you weren't aware of it. Info/links in this post to the rooting steps:

you would need to install merlin firmware on the AC1900. once you have merlin up and running, it should be as easy as plug n play.

I've used both TMOHS1 & Franklin T9 connected to the USB 3.0 port on my Linksys, running DDWRT firmware. These are the commands that I use to mask my TTL, which I believe should work for any router.

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o usb0 -j MASQUERADE
iptables -A FORWARD -i br0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -t mangle -A FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --clamp-mss-to-pmtu
iptables -t mangle -I POSTROUTING -o $(get_wanface) -j TTL --ttl-set 64
iptables -t mangle -I PREROUTING -i $(get_wanface) -j TTL --ttl-set 64

EDIT: I'm currently using a TM-RTL0102 home internet hub with the SIM from this plan, connected via LAN/ethernet cable to my DDWRT router's WAN port, and pull native data. This router increased the speeds to around 60-70 Mbps, whereas the T9 or TMOHS1 would max out at around 30-35 Mbps in my area.

I got my flashed aboue 2-months ago and originally it worked and then invalid sim the next day, then no service. I used the sim on a tablet and it was working fine. I then just decide to leave it on with the sim in the M2000 over night and realized I got the 5G. It might be due to the weaker sign in my home, but If you leave it by the window or somewhere with stronger signal strength. At home with my iPhone 12 Pro I get about 2 bars of 5G (no UC). So the M2000 gets maybe a bar or 2. Even when it does connect down is about 50Mbps, but I have been to better signal areas outside and get about 180-200 Mbps.
