Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Interesting. The last time I tried this 3-4 months ago, they said I have to do it in store since I have to prove my identity as a sole proprietor.
Yes, most people need to do this

A follow-up question:

1. anyone using tmohs1 that is successfully using it as a non-hotspot data? Do you need to root it first?

2. Since we cannot unlock tmohs1 yet, does it mean we can only use T-Mobile Sim?

There was a member here he has extremely fast speed when flashed with Rich. That was I thought it may help because I do not have internet at home. But I was wrong!
Which unlocked hotspot you suggest?
Thank you!
I might have an easy option for 5G home internet, but it's going to cost a little over $100 for the equipment. No flashing equipment necessary.

I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not posting it yet. I need to confirm it works first.

There's another product on eBay specifically for this plan, but it's only 4G and it's $130, but basically just have to put in your sim.

Not quite. The AC1900 requires flashing and it's not AX. That should be enough information for you to know what I'm referring to 😉

I don't want to mislead anyone though, so I have to make sure it works.

My Nok 5g21 arrives Friday and I plan to test that on my AC1900. Yeah, I gotcha.

M2100 Verizon firmware has less bands than Tmobile. Therefore, it is very slow when connecting and could not connect to all tmobile bands. I did not use it at all now.
Adding a datapoint. I've been using the Inseego M2100 (Verizon unlocked version, not a re-flashed M2000) since the beginnings of this deal/thread, and it's consistently better and faster than my TMOHS1 hotspot when using this Magenta 10gb unlimited data plan. It's probably not as fast as a T-Mobile branded official 5G hotspot, but I've gotten speeds between 150-300mbps down when I had strong 5G signals.

Curious to know. I understand this is named a tablet plan. But would T-mobile possibly close the account if they see that a cell phone, hotspot, or other device is connected instead? Are there actual terms and conditions stating what devices are allowed / not allowed? Thanks.

Could any other un-rooted android 5g phone work with AC1900?
Interested but do not plan to invest another 5g device.
Thanks,

Blocked from what? Using this plan?

In theory, yes, but I haven't been able to get it to work. But I think I'm doing something wrong.
