Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Will someone please confirm the process for getting this deal? I do not have a T-Mobile Business account. I will be applying for one as a sole proprietor.

As far as I can tell, I need to call T-Mobile Business at 800-937-8997, tell them I want to open a new business account, and then ask for SOC code ZB10HSTI.

Is there any way to do it online? I tried, but couldn't get it to work. I was able to apply for an account and select the free tablet (which is a different one now), but couldn't sign up for the $10 plan.

I don't really want a tablet, but I'll get it and agree to keep the plan for 24 months if I need to.

Thank you very much for helping me - and other folks - with this.

I called tmo cust service a month ago and they told me after a long time of waiting that those 10$ tab biz plans are not available anymore without visiting a retail store so I went to one and opened 20 lines and a biz account, it took them more than an hour to get them opened for me but they did it, I asked for the inclusive but they gave me the no tax included lines so the lines are like 12 bucks a month.
I had to show them my fed tax id but if I remember right think she said a social would have worked also if I would have been a dba, but I am already an LLC so ........
I did not have to get a tablet they sold me just the lines with sim cards.

I'm not looking for a free battery fix, nor am I writing this because of the offer. I just want to share my experiences. Rich sold me the M2000 a few months ago. It had an issue when it arrived and didn't want to provide access to the web interface. I reached out and Rich took care of the issue immediately. At first, when I opened the box and tried to get connected, I thought I'd be taken... Rich stood by what he sold, got me up and running, and I've had absolutely no problems (device-wise) since. I've had a few spots in the Atlanta area where I have signal issues, but its' always the same area... perhaps a dead zone in general.

Overall, Rich has done a great job on my M2000 and I don't regret the investment I made.
Thanks for the kind words, I don't remember you from your user name here but thanks for reporting back

Looks like the free tablet is available only on the tax exclusive plan, so you have to pay extra for the tax.

Can anyone confirm?

I switched to tax inclusive and the bill credits did not apply.
When I look at the plans on checkout for the free tablet, the option for free tablet appears only under the tax exclusive plan. Maybe it's a new change? Not sure
It's kind of a mess but here's what I did with my one line:

Signed up online for free tablet + TE plan (I couldn't get the TI plan to work online either).
When I received it, activated and confirmed all working.
Called the business line, they switched it from tax exclusive to inclusive.
Contacted Tmobile business on FB, they added HD PASS.
Got notification I lost my tablet credits with this new plan, called them, they paid off the tablet for me in lieu of monthly credits.

Btw adding a second line, I never could do it online either, I just called the business line and paid for a sim.

Sole proprietor is great.
Only call, do not try any other way.
Call the T-Mo sales reps at 877-590-4728.
Correct SOC code ZB10HSTI.
Also use code HDVPASS0 for the hi-def video feature. Make sure the rep activates it.
If it's activated the FAST.COM speeds should be around 5-7Mbps.
If not the above speeds will be around 2.5Mbps.

This deal is essentially a $10/mo. internet access deal, the tablet is just an extra bonus to access the internet.

Read my other posts here for more, and other posts if you intend to use the T-Mo Sim in other devices for WiFi access so as to avoid the 10Gb hotspot limit.

Good luck!

The Verizon Mifi X Pro (m3100) works and is super fast, but IT COUNTS AS MOBILE HOTSPOT DATA!

I'm still in the Verizon store and the store manager is a friend and let me pop the sim in a demo m2100 and works perfectly. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

I really appreciate all the work you've guys have put in and the knowledge that you have shared. I already have home internet, but I do a lot of work remotely and having unlimited 5G internet is God-send for those times when there is a power outage or Comcast is having issues.

It looks like the Orbic 5G you have supports band 71 :

5G UW N257/260/261
5G N2/5/25/41/48/66/71/77

https://orbic.us/products/orbic-speed-5g

Were you able to see if data counted towards hotspot or on device data?

Edit : Another interesting option is the Inseego FG2000, they now go for sub $200 it seems and have n41/n71.
Thanks for looking into the bands on the Orbic.

Just a new datapoint - I'm sitting in a parking lot at a busy mall and have full bars of 5G on the Orbic. I'm getting 200mbps down and 54mbps up. That's pretty great for a mobile hotspot. (I don't have my M2100 to test and compare, but my iPhone 11 on Verizon that can pull over 100-200mbps on LTE is pulling 99/36 from the same location right now.)

Impressive to me for my needs in a mobile hotspot around town.

I can't check on-device usage since I only have a t-mobile business login.

Just to confirm since it hasn't been stated on the thread. Does the Orbic Speed 5g pull from the 10 GB mobile hotspot data or from the unlimited tablet data?

I went ahead and ordered a m2100 from ebay. If there was some confimration on the Orbic I would have considered it, but there was no official confirmation. I didn't want to risk it.

I personally cannot easily confirm since my business T-Mobile portal doesn't tell me. I don't have access to the personal portal. Only way for me to confirm is to burning through 10-15gb of data, but I won't do that since i need the data for actual work and can't risk losing access to my account. If I remember to test prior to my last day of the month, I will try, but I'm usually too busy to remember.

FYI for anyone interested. With patience, these hotspots are obtainable for great prices. Another reason I'm going with out-of-the-box data options instead of custom firmware, but my needs may be different than your needs, as I am on the road and travel quite often and do not care to use this as home internet.

I paid on eBay after monitoring for several weeks:
Inseego M2100 - $105 including shipping (average prices were $200-250 at the time)
Orbic 5G - less than $90 including shipping (prices are usually $200-250)

Thank you for all the details, greatly appreciated. If I come across an Orbic 5G at that price, I'll go ahead and purchase it and see what it counts as.

Thank you. I use mine (TMOHS1) as a backup for work as well, and probably won't use over 10GB either. Little buddy has been a soldier... I tossed my sim in an unlocked Galaxy Flip 4 and tried out those 5G hotspot speeds and OMG what a difference. It's time to upgrade. I really wanted an ethernet port, but the m3100 (Mifi X Pro) was pulling from the hotspot data. I already ordered a m2100 off eBay though.

You are welcome. Many of these eBay deals don't last long (such as a low buy it now price) or are from sellers who don't sell often and list one of these with a Best Offer and don't mind taking a lower but reasonable price.
