Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

The fastest I've gotten so far is around 190 up and 25 down upstairs in my home outside of Richmond, VA. Using it normally downstairs is slower but not too bad. This speed test I just did in my office at home pulled 120 up and 12 down.

I've noticed that the wifi has disconnected a couple of times today, but that could mean nothing.

When it loses 5g signal it falls back to 4g giving me similar speeds to the TMOHSI. The only time the m2100 has ever gone over 2 bars was that one time it dropped to 4g LTE.
I've taken my 2100 all over the country and never seen higher than 3 bars of 5G, usually toggling back and forth to 2. I don't trust the bar display, my phone sitting next to it is 5 bars of 5G.

This hotspot netgear m6 pro is back in stock at bestbuy, people selling this for 600+ in ebay. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/netg...Id=6506928.
The m6 pro/MR6500 is a great device but the specifications show it is missing n41/n71 on the 5G side.

• 5G Sub-6: n5/n7/n28/n78

https://www.downloads.netgear.com...elstra.pdf

Also, no one has tested this device to see if it even connects on this plan.

That's an ATT version and lacks some of the tmo bands.

The better option is DISH (Project Genesis)'s M6 Pro (MR6400) for $350+tax that lacks mmwave but has more bands compatible with Tmo. I got it (it can be ordered outside of their service areas with some tricks) and it works just fine. It needs to be unlocked (which can be done with a Windows PC at home for free). Stress tested it with 12GB youtube running all night without issue.

Some people are selling it on Dish5G's subreddit as well. Not sure how much but some people are willing to sell theirs if you ask.

Does it count as unlimited data or does it pull from the mobile hotspot data?

TBH I have no way to tell as I have a business account with EIN so I can't use the personal/regular app/account login that people said could differentiate. However, I've gone over 10GB with this device and not throttled.

Worked fine in Italy and UK, and I'm testing in Indonesia and Singapore next week. Slow throttled though, not full speed.

Same for me. Usually 1-3 bars of 5G signal or up to full signal strength on LTE throughout various places in CA and in the US. My Orbic 5G does get up to full bars of 5G depending on where I am.

They are both the same except the TE plan charges taxes making it more expensive. You want the one that says Magenta Business Tablet 10GB Promo.
Is it possible to get this plan without getting the tablet? I don't see how to do this online. I don't want to get into a 2yr contract with them for the tablet.

I haven't even signed up for this plan yet. I have 2 AT&T Mobley plans with both SIM cards in a Velocity hotspot. Like a lot of users, the quality has become near unusable for streaming. Which is my main use when traveling. I purchased 2 because I thought I could split the data used and not get on any sort of high data use radar. Turns out that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I'm just looking for the best way to use a hotspot device for this to stream Directv Stream when I travel. I figure if I can get something plug and play, I'll use that as a backup to AT&T and probably drop one of my Mobley plans. I've been paying $46 or so a month for years now for mostly light use.

When I need it though, and it works well, it's awesome. Just few and far between now. Not sure what changed with AT&T and the Mobley plan.

Was in same boat - had 2 Mobley plans for same reason as you... recently cancelled one of them and picked up 2 of the TMo lines. Its actually cheaper now since there is no tax/fees on the TMo lines.
