Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Questions about the Inseego M2100,
1. It will work without modifications?
2. Safe to update the software?
3. Safe to factory reset? Bought used, don't know admin username/password.

Another datapoint.

iPhone 14 pro max (global) with T-Mobile Sim from this plan has no issues in the EU.

Connected to LTE and gave data immediately, obviously at 256Kbps.

Settings shows correct T-Mobile plan and I received a text welcoming me. (previously the sim was in the Orbic 5G which had 3G speeds here).

I think I've pushed the limits on this plan for now 🤣

Also nice is it routes through the US so apps thought I was in the US.

1. It will work without modifications. Just pop in the sim.
2. The latest software update is from August 2021. Works for me. I really don't think there will be another software update; however, it won't update without an active Verizon sim in there. Honestly, don't worry about it.
3. You can factory reset it all you want with no issues. There is no admin username. Once reset the Admin password is the same as the wifi password until you change it.

From my experience: Don't mess with any of the network settings. I think I sabotaged myself messing around with setting the VPN until I figured it out. This device has an issue where it doesn't reset the login information after a factory reset. Mine does it now, but I've learned to live with it. I say once you get it working how you want, stop tinkering with it.

I just looked. It's still there.

Go here https://www.t-mobile.com/business/tablets pick a tablet and scroll through the plans to the bottom. The Magenta one is the one where taxes aren't added.

I have the Verizon M2100 which works with no mods and doesn't pull from the 10GB hotspot data.

For the T-Mobile M2000, from my understanding, it will pull from the 10GB's unless modified.

AFAIK, M2000 won't pull from anywhere.

I gotcha. I've never used the M2000. But I can vouch for the M2100 working with just popping in the SIM card.

Can you still go into a store and get the plan without buying a tablet? I thought the deal was over long ago for some reason but it keeps chugging along.

If the employee/manager is helpful and knows(a bit tricky to find) what they are doing, yes. But very likely have to pay $35 CS FEE.

Thanks! I guess I'll order online and go with the cheapest tablet deal. (A7 Lite I assume?) I was trying to avoid a 2 year commitment. I have 2 lines with ATT Unlimited Mobley and it's gone downhill like crazy. Just not even worth it any more as it's really unusable for streaming. Same could easily happen with this plan. At least this is $10/month compared to $22 or so with ATT Mobley plan. I have a legit EIN so I should be good.
